General Impressions

I have to say, I'm quite impressed with this game (even in its Alpha stage).  It is certainly worth the $39.00 (although I think I bought it for less).

Positives:

*  True Sandbox

*  Character Skill System is very well designed

*  Crafting and Terraforming are the true stars of this game

*  Settlement Building is free form, and provides many opportunities for community projects.

*  The world is alive with sights and sounds

*  Graphics are above average

Negatives:

*  Combat is a bit clunky

*  Targeting is off, You can aim for the head and hit the leg.

*  Character Customization (We are all clones!)

I'm sure the Dev(s) are working on bringing more features and fixing the bugs in the game, I can't wait to see where this game will be in a few months.

Played: E&B, SWG, Eve, WoW, COH, WAR, POTBS, AOC, LOTRO, AUTO.A, AO, FE, TR, WWII, MWO, TSW, SWTOR, GW2, NWO, WoP, RUST, LIF, SOA, MORTAL, DFUW, AA, TF, PFO, ALBO, and many many others....

    private servers system like dayz took me straight away from this game.

    They told they will be working on a mmo version when the game is finished..

    Gimmie a ring then when mmo version is playable

    Game is definitly not to play solo. You need at least few (2-4) friends to have fun. Otherwise you will be bored soon. But if you establish small community you can be competitive part in nearly all aspects of the game including building, crafting, pvp. After 2 months of gameplay even with limited (not implemented yet) amount of features game is still very addictive. There is always to do something.

    Pros:
    Sandbox game where all tricks are allowed...
    Complex crafting system
    Fully player driven economy
    Terraforming system which allows to reshape default landscape
    Housing allowing to create towns, cities and even entire kingdoms.

    Cons:
    No newb protection system. New char is literaly dropped from the sky into the middle of the fray without any basic knowledge what to do So tutorials or joining common nity is a must.
    Private servers are maintained by private person which one day may decide to close or wipe the game.
    Regardless to recent patches game is still way before total stability. However current development is focused on game stability.
    Bugs and gliches which usage is banable on most of the servers but still may happen.
    Too early to review this game as a whole product but looks promising and has original concept.

    This is an alpha, at v0.2.9, usually a release is at v1.0, this mean that the development is roughly at 29%. And now it can do so much thing and it move the habit of the players. Try to imagine what it will do at 100%... you'll be far from it.

    You compare it to DayZ? there is nothing in common with it.

    No game have succeeded in binding player together naturally, the thing is that alone you can't do much things, so players try to cooperate and create villages.

    And in that same sentence there is a pro and a con: The game is really hard and tedious. This mean that plays look for help and help each others (usually no one randomly kills you, because it's not the point). And that is a big pro.

    The servers are what it has in common with DayZ. I also agree, as long as this game is not yet in an MMO state, I'll pass. Too many servers with too varied rules and too few players per server make this a ticking time bomb. Someone on Youtube did a play through of it for 13 episodes and it demonstrates exactly what the problems of having MMO style progression in a private server based game is. With a 50-60 person server, if only 10 people leave for some reason, the ripple effect is huge.

    I'd rather wait until this game has a few thousand players all on one server before I dedicate countless hours to cutting down a tree, thank you.
