With how fast you replied I know you didn't watch the whole video, yes it's a serious thread.

For a guy that says he is presenting all the facts wonder why he left out all the billing issues the game had before they pulled the 60 day sub. A lot of people including myself don't need to go thru paypay any more.

Before release they said it was going to be their plan to go F2P, but they never discussed it closer to release.  It would be bad business to do so.

But now that essentially everyone has left there's no reason not to go F2P.  Smart move from a bottom line perspective.

I feel there is a bigger picture >>TRUST.

If it goes f2p and they keep it a secret after removing the 6 month and claiming it was because it was not used much, then that proves they are a dishonest business and everyone should bombast them if it happens. You can't lying scum get a free ticket, everyone quit and email them why.

I would say it "might" be in the works, probably judging by the removal of 6 month,it is in the works for about a 3 month time frame,so expect it perhaps in March if it happens.

I would say for sake of integrity and your game let's hope they have not been lying or misleading of their intentions and everything is still subbed in March.

"A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online," the publisher confirmed on the PlayStation Blog. "PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will pay - nothing more."

That being said, it will require an Xbox Live Gold account on Xbox One, Bethesda has verified in an e-mail to Eurogamer"

So because some fat loser on Youtube thinks ESO is going F2P that means that ESO is going F2P?

Who cares what he thinks?  Who is he? He's a nobody..who gives a crap what his opinion is?

I mean, it wouldn't be incredibly surprising it if DID go free to play. But the last I heard, it was the 11th most profitable mmo in the world. I imagine they're doing well enough to not really need to go free to play.

I don't really see ESO as a struggling MMO anymore. I think they've pulled the lead out. So long as update 6 doesn't piss off the world, I think they're good.

I highly doubt ESO was 11th most profitable in the world, the US maybe, not the world.

Well, obviously things may change in a year's time, but until ZeniMax Online comes out and says they are revisiting ESO's business model, then that is the most up-to-date and accurate statement about this topic.

Obviously, anyone who watched the video would know that it's about speculation based on small evidence that may end up being nothing. There is nothing wrong is discussing the issue.

All subscription based games are going "f2p". At least that is always the assumption even before they release.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the discussion at hand or speculation for that matter, I am merely pointing out a piece of information that is relevant to the topic at hand. There are some who believe that the game will go B2P/F2P because console players will have to pay for both a subscription and a premium service, but that is not entirely true since ZeniMax Online have stated that the game will not require PlayStation Plus.

I'm sorry, but this thread .. and the other ones floating around saying the saaaame thing are just as lame as the people whining that it wasn't f2p to begin with (omg I didn't play today, that's 50 cents wasted!).

If any game is going f2p, my money would be on the zeppelin on the left.

Thanks for the link.  Very interesting.  I guess news of WoW's impending demise is premature.  LOL.

the time taken into account would be during it's release, of course it would have high revenue during this time but take into account that a new F2P beat it and it only got 5 million more then SWTOR, which has been out for years. Doesn't seem all that great to me considering that is with the release crowd unlike SWTOR.

This is just a repeat of the thread from 4 days ago speculating on why the 6 month sub disappeared.... except now we have random fat dude from youtube saying it... yeah, we needed a new thread for this because when fat dude speaks it must be true.

    *AGREE

Oh noes they took away a 6 month sub option.... that must mean they are going to go free to pay.

Come on people use what little rattles between your ears.

I will not be the one that says ESO will never be f2p but I will say it is not evident with that video. Nothing to see here .... move along.

Wish in one hand that ESO is going F2P and poop in the other.  Let me know which one comes true first.
