"Those who bought custom servers for Battlefield 4 have decided to go on strike against DICE and Electronic Arts due to a lack of communication and pro-consumer support from the companies (seems like a familiar theme we’re seeing pop up ever-so-recently, eh?) The server operators plan to commence a strike by shutting down their servers starting January 3rd at 12:00 UTC."
- thought this was pretty hilarious. This game was probably the biggest flop of the year for me. Only because in some ways it was so brilliant, but in other it was so so f'd up.
Its kind of like if you got to snog scarlett johansson but then found out she had a penis or something (yes, i know some of you are into that thing, but for the standard straight dude this would be a problem).

Adorable... And they are well within their rights to do so. I just hope they make sure they have read the EULA and ToS regarding such actions... I would hate to see anything unfortunate happen to them... =P
Not sure what they hope to achive in the long run but i guess someone have to draw a line somewhere. And no matter what it will be popcorn worthy.
This have been a good conversation
Man, it's sad that it has to come to that.
Though if it will lead to anything? How often in the past of online games have protests on any level led to something? SWG? People quitting in droves - no change to the better. Or CoH - it was still closed down. Etc Etc

Sadly this ^
I used to LOVE battlefield games. But ever since 3, it's because CODField. They've been systematically stripping the games of what makes them unique and amazing, and replacing them w/ generic and poorly designed crap.
Did you even play Battlefield 4.... on more than 15 fps that is.
I absolutely loved Battlefield 3 and 4. Idk what your problem is with them. There are huge maps. Honestly idk what's lacking in Bf3 that Bf2 has for example. All the vehicles are there plus structures that you could actually get inside, not just camp on roofs. Same goes for Bf4.
The jet piloting in Bf3 is beyond any other game i've ever played. If they make a space simulator with similar handling, It'd be my favorite game of all times. And no I don't have a controller. Top Jet pilot with keyboard and mouse
Hardline seems epic as well.
Call of Duty can only dream of Battlefield's graphic fidelity and environment destruction.
I still play and enjoy BF 4 more so than any other new FPS out at the moment . There launch and some was horrific though i hope they learned there lesson.
I still play BF4. I never had the problems with the game that some had. At the moment, I think most of the complaints are from those that AREN'T playing and are just dredging up the old hurt. The OP's premise is truely misleading.
Let's party like it is 1863!
