Might as well just let Pirate 101 get first place.

You can't really think of these kind of things as meaningful. Its just about getting more traffic to the site.

    Spot on.

if the game you like didn't win don't sweat it. Just play the game you like and be happy. If you worry about what other people think all the time your life is going to suck.

About as meaningful as those awards handed out at conventions to games that aren't even past the concept art phase.

Haters gonna hate, and MMORPG.COM toxic (but funny nonethelss) community is gonna hate :P

But having recently joined the game, I can say, I have never seen such a thriving community in a long time, as well as a developer team who isn't afraid of reinventing themselves and just keep adding huge chunks of content, things you would expect nowadays to be behind paywalls or something, and new endgame overhaul as well as animation, criminal and justice system, proves they are not afraid to take chances and just hear out the community

Congrats to Zenimax and to the awesome community that stood together ;)

    Congrats to ESO!

People voted for the games they like, and other people are butthurt about it. Sounds about right!

Alright guys, be sure we hate on ESO for a few weeks / months at every opportunity so this great injustice can be corrected. I know I can trust you in this great task.

I think all games had the same chance to win.... So in the end all thing where fair...  Even tough i was supporting for LOTRO

I am happy with ESO as a winner, because its a great game that got a lot of undeserved negatif publicity at release, i hope this helps for a succesfull console release,  and a succesfull console release should get them on track for finally adding the monthly content that are aiming to release...   because for the PvE side of this game, content is everything..

i hope that in two years ESO has grown to become the game it prommises to be..

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    3. Game companies that needed the publicity let their playerbase known to go and vote - check

Can we see results that exclude all votes from accounts created in the last month?

Would the result really be all that different? we're talking about a year old game vs a 7 year old one. I'm actually surprised more people aren't bent out of shape about TSW beating EVE, as EVE is the poster child for sandbox MMOs... or as many here like to say "real MMOs"

Yeah go on ESO, you're the best MMO out there!

Save us from korean-F2P and pointless sandbox!

Well, EVE does not need the publicity of a win. TSW is fighting for its life, so let it have the win, I have no issue with that.

And both are superior to ESO and LotRO anyways, so it was hard to take the vote serious in the first place.

They deserved the win because they have no cash shop or pay to win elements.

Three of my favorite MMOS, 1,2,3.. nice to see that even the inmates of this asylum can get things right on occasions image

And to those of you who took this thing in stride and participated in a spirit of light fun, thanks for a lot of creative and fun posts over the Holidays.

And grats to ESO, the prettiest girl won.

It's not like ESO or TSW/LOTRO or EVE or anyone else had "different rules". Everyone had the same rules. You can't win this if your game is bad... lol.

Personally, I can't understand what any of those games have to offer over the games that I like to play.

IMO, I think the games that I like should have been the winner.

From my perspective, there must be some sort of error in the process, or misjudgment in protocol that would cause things to proceed in a manner contrary to my preference because the games that I like are clearly superior.

The majority of people would follow the same sentiment as I do.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

    Make your own poll...

Restrict it so only you can vote...

    Take screen shot of results...

    Frame it...
