It would be easy to make a client side hack that looks like you're flying. What I want to know is if it's actually happening on the server and to other players.
Also, visual based hacks, like making enemies glow are pretty much unavoidable since they're pure client side.
Remember the kid in grade school that would run away with the ball from a game just to keep everyone else from playing? He needed the attention and couldn't get anyone to notice him any other way. This is him 10 years later with the same problem but on a different playground.
what do you expect from losers? People that feel the need to by pass rules and "cheat" at games are people that fail at life and everything they do or at the very least are mediocre in every way. Hacks and cheats are just an attention seeking behavior they feel an overwhelming obsession to feel noticed and not play by the rules very narcissistic in nature. In due time they will get banned, and be force to spend more money to buy a new game, and a new cheat program or they will move onto their next obsession. Lather rinse repeat.
3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 560GTX 2GB OC, 640GB HD SATA II, BFG 1000WATT PSU. MSI NF980-G65 TRI-SLI MOBO.
I would guess the best bet would be some statistics based Anti-cheat like FairFight combined with PB. It does a really good job in APB:R.
Ofc the problem here would be a cheater killing and looting like crazy with the sole intent of *bleeeep* the economy since he/she will take a lot of stuff with them when they get banned. Do that a few times a week and you will pretty much kill a server economy... not to mention drive players the heck away.
lol....is this for players who are shite at what they do online?
Well, atleast none of the games I play online are listed there....
What games do you play? I'm pretty sure I can find hacks for it. Every game has them, unless they are ridiculously unimportant. Yes while using them makes you a bad player, I still find it very shitty when they don't put enough work into anti-hacking systems. Of course people will try it, it's just a regular human thing.

Lovely post.
Funny thing is they think they are winning when all they are doing is breaking the system which in turn is killing the genre, but hey I blame the companies that don't quickly or responsibly take care of these would be losers. Seems companies can't make a decent cheat detection engine and when they do people just complain about it.....mainly cause the majority are cheaters/losers these days.
Companies need to start listening to the 1%, cause these days majority is only out for numero uno.
I don't condone cheating, but don't tell me anyone's surprised. Any game with a hype train is basically inviting talented coders to try and break it. There's a lot of money to be made, especially during launch period shenanigans when populations tend to be abnormally high.
On the plus side, at least SOE is going to be forced to look at securing their game earlier in development.
Posting links to exploits or those who show how to do them or providers is against this forum's rules. I've removed the links and mentions of the site in question.

Yea, Smed has already acknowledged the cheating and has mentioned the team already has plans on taking care of it (detection and prevention, he said). We'll see how successful they are over the next few weeks.
We will see. The way SOE handled cheaters in in Planetside 2 isn't promising. For anyone that doesn't know: Planetside 2 has had its ups and downs on the hype train. At it's peak, at release, there was an anti-cheat team of devs working to get rid of cheaters. Then they went away after the hype died down. Then the hype returned with each major update, up until Hossin was released. You would see a server announcement come on screen, "This is game moderator XmodX, if you see any suspicious gameplay, send their player name to me in order to have a close look." Well this type of active patrolling went on for a while, and it seemed to work. There weren't people flying all over the place and shooting through everything for a good while. The hype for Planetside 2 has all but died now and unfortunately, these server messages have not been seen for over six months. In game reports are not answered and there is no anti-cheat software in place. I suppose we'll have to see how things go with H1Z1, but with SOE's record, cheaters will run free after the hype dies down.

H1Z1 uses the Planetside 2 engine.
Planetside 2 had hacks 2 minutes after launch, literally, they had the hacks ready before the game launched.
This game will not only get hacked to pieces, it will also remain hacked, planetside 2 still has hackers.

This have been a good conversation

how long you think take to speacilisty company do? after all this hype
its bussines brow , SAD but bussines if you want someone to blame
1 - Sony
2 - Clients
3 - this company/coders
As long as games exist, cheaters will exist.
What is surprising is when people don't expect it.

So predictable
Just like DayZ...nothing but a big Counter Strike map
Just like DayZ...a paradise for hackers and cheats
Just like DayZ...guns everywhere
Just like DayZ...gank-and-grief fest
Just like DayZ..zombies are just decorations
Just like DayZ...no real fighting, just head shots from 1,500 yards
So disappointing
