If life were an MMO that MMO would be called Identity. For those who don’t know it may seem like the creators of Identity, Asylum Entertainment came out of nowhere, but in fact they have a lot of experience with the modern sandbox game. Asylum Entertainment is to this point best known for their Arma III mod Asylum’s Altis Life.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The concept for this game is exceedingly ambitious.
However, as is often the case, this incredible concept is being promised by a small team of indie developers with a shoestring budget, using an off-the-shelf game engine. Their chances of success are almost nil.
Perhaps it's pure coincidence that one of the devs worked on Mortal Online, which also promised the moon and was built on an existing engine (Unreal 3). Perhaps it will go better this time around, but somehow I doubt it.
What scares me is the complexity... How they are going to make all parts fit together and be rewarding.
It does sound very interesting and i would see it as a good counterpoint to the DayZ/H1Z1 games.
This have been a good conversation
second life as noted...and the X-Rated Second life game which I wont name here.......
So, can I be a rapist? serial killer? PImp? Drug dealer? Thief?
I think you see what I am saying here....
I'm not really a Second Life fan (just rarely pop in for some mmo fun within the game), but I agree with the posters above.
Based on Asylum's page and videos, Identity seems like a some-parts restricted, some-parts enhanced (mostly the graphics*) Second Life clone. So, if "What You Do is Completely Up to You", I'll pass I think
*edit: and the vehicles, which can be done with Unreal pretty cool, so that's a plus in my eyes; but also a constant gankfest with the guns and the setting, which is a clear no.
