My biggest concern is that the game is just going to be essentially a combat fight game, how about those of us that want to live in thec world? What drives us to explore? I know it's not pve centric, but it would be nice if you felt as though you had a purpose, thoughts?

Don´t worry, even if you wanted ONLY to fight, you would spend much less than 100% time in combat. This is NOT typical battleground.  Especially if you become crafter, merchant or builder, the fight itself can easily be very small percentage of your time, or if you want you can even avoid it completely with bit of hiding, sneaking and help from your friends and realm.  Don´t think of it as of huge battleground, but rather as of much more huge world, or playground, with occasional battles or skirmishes and much more to do meantime including talking to people, exploring, gathering, repairing, building, planning and so on.

Talking about exploring, the world should be huge and everchanging - realms will be able to build (or burn and pillage image) towns, castles or roads (or even to change the landscape to some extent) and crafters / builders should be in very high demand. So, together with exploring (and exploring again, because things will change) you will be able to actively change the world. Exploring the Depths (best anvils and nodes, together with some nasty bosses guarding entrances or god-knows-what, together with your "friends" from other 2 realms, will all be there) or going deep into enemy territory should add some more flavor to it, if you don´t mind dieing from time to time. Check http://camelotunchained.com/v2/bsc-design-docs/rvr-map/ for details about the world map.

About living in the world (as opposed to constant fighting) and purpose (besides killing and pillage) - you can live your life in Camelot as merchant, crafter or builder, without ever touching a sword (that is, unless someone wants you to craft one for him image). Mark Jacobs stated clearly, and more than once, that he will do his best to make such options not just available, but very much playable and valuable to both dedicated player and whole community. You will have levels of mastery, and it will take lots of  building, crafting and gathering in order to progress, the same amount of time you would need to level your sword, healing or magic skills.

Connected to all previously said, I would recommend you to read "Foundational Principle #7 - Crafting should be fun, useful..." http://camelotunchained.com/v2/foundational-principle-7/  and also "Foundational Principle #8 - "This should be a chaotic game with epic surprises at every turn"  http://camelotunchained.com/v2/foundational-principle-8/ although other principles also contain some interesting info.

On roleplaying - If you want to know about Camelot history and history of it´s races, you can read some of  http://camelotunchained.com/v2/lore/  "World Lore" and especially "Becoming Stories" have a couple of inspiring parts.

     W...aaagh?
