Games which don't rely on RNG for end-game gear?

I am getting tired of relying on the RNG to determine if I get the loot I want or not.  A lot of the time, the items will determine my end-game progression.  There is nothing more frustrating than spending days farming the same dungeon and not getting the item(s) I need to progress because of a silly RNG system.

Token systems are great, in my opinion.  Sometimes you get rewarded with a "lucky" drop and other times you just have to earn enough tokens to buy the item you were looking for.  As long as the rate of earning the tokens isn't too low, I can tolerate games which use a combination of RNG and token system.

Lastly, please don't suggest any free-to-play games unless they don't use the token/drop system as a means of monetizing their game.  That turns into pay-to-win very fast and I refuse to play those money-grabbing schemes.

EVE, with the exception of pirate faction modules, which are sold by players who get them, all gear you use is crafted by players so RNG has almost no influence. Just one of the many reasons I've been playing EVE so long.

You aren't alone, but unfortunately this is a concept that has only recently started to gain some traction in the MMO genre.

The following games would be worth looking at for what you want:

GW2 (the best gear in the game can be gained through crafting, tokens, or random rewards. You're choice which method suits you best). There is RNG in the game, but it's not tied to power. It's tied to cosmetics, which can be frustrating as some of those cosmetics are worth a lot of money, but that's it. You don't need to spend a dime on the cash shop if you don't want to, and everything can be obtained via in-game gold. You do need to buy the box, though. They just recently had a sale which brought it down to ~15$, but I think it's back up to around 30 again.

Game is a fantasy MMO which combines some themepark and open-world elements.

Eve. There is a pretty big time sink for this game, but everything is basically gained by crafting & trading. Game is based around space-navigation and combat. Sci-Fi open-world game.

Planetside 2. Not based on RNG, the game still tends to veer towards P2W in certain ways (which is really unfortunate), but everything is gained via exp unlocks (think call of duty / battlefield). A Sci-Fi FPS MMO.

Firefall. This game does have RNG, but all loot is crafted. This one's not that popular tbh, which is kind of a downside. I dunno if I'd recommend this (it's certainly not a bad game), but just letting you know it's there.

    - I'm sure I'm probably missing a game or two, but there's a list to start with.

The only game i play it whit no RNG from boss,is Raiderz. Because in Raiderz you dont fight the boss for gear, you fight for materials.Whit that materials you go and craft what you want armor, weapon, etc.

Guild Wars 2 would be similar to what you describe, IMHO.

Exotic gear (second best) is available from several sources (crafting, drops, dungeons, etc), drops are RNG, but you can craft it, purchase it on the trading post relatively cheap unless you want the fancy skins, or run dungeons for tokens to buy a set of armor and weapons themed to that dungeon. An explorable dungeon usually gives you a little bit over 60 tokens for each path you do in a day, there are 3 paths available on a dungeon, so you can get about 180 tokens a day if you do all three, and a piece or armor is between 180 (gloves, mask, shoes) to 330 (chest) tokens, plus 210 (offhand) to 390 (2 hander) for weapons.

Gearing up in GW2 is rather simple, gear changes by stat distribution, and all pieces of gear with the same distribution is exactly the same except for the skin. So, if you have an exotic berserker sword (power, presicion and ferocity), for example, its stats will be exactly the same than any other exotic berserker sword, be it crafted, from dungeons, drops, and so on.... the only difference is on the rarity of the skin.

Then comes ascended gear (best gear in game), it can be obtained with RNG drops from almost anywhere in the world, but it's so rare that most people get it by crafting (only other way to get it). This gear is very expensive, you first need to level up your crafting which takes a lot of materials (and therefore gold if you buy them), and then crafting the gear itself takes even more, but everything you need are things that you can get by regular playing with little or no RNG at all (or you can just purchase it for lots of gold on the trading post). Ascended gear is account bound on acquire, so you need to craft your own. Ascended trinkets (5 in total, 2 rings, 2 accesories, 1 amulet) can be obtained with laurels (you literally get them for loggin in) and guild mission tokens and are considered significantly easier to acquire.

As I said, you can get ascended armor drops from several sources in the game, but it's so rare that most people don't bother. There are two bosses (both open world) that can (rarely) drop pieces of themed ascended gear, but other than unique looks, statistically they're exactly the same than the crafted ones.

The statistical difference between exotic and ascended is minimal, the only real need for ascended gear is for high level fractals. Fractals are a series of mini dungeons, anytime you go in you do 3 randomly selected mini dungeons out of 14, followed by a boss fight (random out of 3 possibilities). Fractals have account based levels, you start at level 0 and anytime you do a fractal set above your account level, you go up one level (up to 50). Starting at level 10 there's a condition that cannot be cleansed called Agony that causes damage over time and reduces healing, the higher the fractal level, the stronger its effect. Ascended gear has a slot for agony resistance, which makes it useful for higher level fractals. Note that trinkets also have agony resist slots, so you can get higher than level 10 before you actually need the crafted stuff.

Note that there's RNG, and lots of it. Biggest one is the incredibly low chance of getting a precursor weapon, which are exotic level weapons that you need as one of the many ingredients to craft a legendary weapon, but stats-wise, legendary weapons are exactly the same than ascended level ones, with the added perks that you can change stats distribution out of combat, and you get some interesting graphical effects (glowing auras, footfalls and so on) when wielding one.
