With something like 30 hours under my belt in Darkest Dungeon at this point, there are definitely some classes I tend to favor more than others. Face it, some just get the job done better and aren’t as vulnerable to the sorts of chaos you’re sure to find while adventuring in the game.

classes that are the most reliable - cursader, highway man, vestal
most fun classes...probabl hellion and jester
tbh the classes are much more balanced than a lot of people think - it just depens on who you combine them with, what youre facing and how youre using them... i alwas thought the grave robber to be kinda the weakest class -asked around, got some tips, use her differently - and now shes one of my favorite classes...
i cant wait for the other 6 to come
the one thing i would add tough is that i think the crusader is more versatile than the lepper...hits more often, has more utility and has a movement attack which is very important for when enemies throw your ranks into chaos
The Leper is definitely a go to class for me when a healer is not available, the self heal is a great skill. Also the Hellion tends to be a better than the crusader when you put her in front, she hits a lot harder and clears a battle while.
I have had some higher level Highwayman they crit and hit real big in a fight from the 3rd position, also his ability to hit the first 3 people in a batlle make his AOE effective when he is hitting from the 3rd position.
Currently I am a huge fan of the Bounty Hunter/Occultist combo. BH 100% boosted damage on marked targets is huge, and the Occultist can mark a 2nd target, as well as debuff and heal.
Also like the Graverobber, although she seems to either do big numbers or very little damage, and nothing in between.

I have feeling that stress system is either unbalanced though or broken.
My heroes go from 0 to max too fast, and almost everything even simply walking will add hefty numbers (randomly) while reducing stress is always in small numbers.
I dont know if its due to me being new to the game or to the game being unbalanced ?
Yeah it goes up too fast and is impossible to manage.
I just ignore it on my B,C,D teams and let them get whatever they get lol
It actually feels a LOT better than it did just a week ago. I couldn't go two fights without party wide insanity becoming a problem. The key for me right now is to kill my enemies as fast as possible with massive alpha strikes and try to surprise them by keeping my torch fully lit. If you can dispatch your foes quickly, they don't have time to mess with your party. This is why I stack AOE with Lepers and Highwaymen.
Mine is Vestal / Occultist / Hellion / Crusader as I like scumhealing damage and stress and they survive the best against bosses and other foes that can't be stunlocked.
I find Jester completely useless. Crusader has a significantly better stress heal that also adds to torch and can be used from front row. Inspiring Ballad only heals 3 stress and can be used from last slot which is the least desirable position for a Jester. Solo adds -10 to ACC with no damage which means the chance to hit usually goes from 90 to 80 which is useless, and the party buff is even worse as +2 to acc and +1 to crit adds nothing when you would need +20 and +10 to notice any effect. Their only truly useful thing is the bleed skill. Every other class has better buffs and debuffs, and some have better damage.
For me Occultist wins over Plague Doctor. Wyrd Reconstruction is amazing, and their Daemon's Pull is handy for getting those backrow critters to front row. Sacrificial stab also has very high crit chance which is a nice morale boost. The stun from Plague Doctor is ok but there are quite a few stun resistant foes and then it becomes apparent Occultist is a better choice.
Vestal is hugely useful. Judgment can hit any foe and heals Vestal, Divine Grace is a decent heal as far as heals go, and finally Dazzling light is stun that adds to torch. I'm torn between having Mace Bash for emergencies, Illumination for its significant dodge debuff, and Hand of Light for its accuracy and damage debuff. So many good skills on her.
I don't know why people are so keen on Grapeshot. It does half damage and when it misses it misses all foes. Maybe I just haven't upgraded it enough but I find it underwhelming in most cases where I really need it and Highwayman doesn't have that many useful skills beyond that.

I am sick an tired of players bemoaning a lack of consequence in gaming. I have watched gamers treat their avatars as lifeless cannon fodder for decades. Racing threw content with not a care for their avatars safety or well being. Stress is a system that rolls both these stats into a single indicator. What do I hear now, Stress is either unbalanced or broken. It only appears that way, because now they are finally seeing it and having to deal with it.
Now the system has been dumbed down, made easy, for sloppy & incompetent ( dumb ) gamers. If they must complain about games being dumbed down, blame the so called hardcore gamers.Boy: Why can't I talk to Him?

As if it could exist, without being payed for.
F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing.
Even telemarketers wouldn't think that.
It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
People completely ignore Graverobbers DOD buff, which makes her perfect in sitting in either position 1-2 when required.
