SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Bioware is actively looking for players to participate in a beta test for the upcoming patch that will see some significant improvements to Dragon Age: Inquisition. Interested players will be able to sign up soon via the Dragon Age Keep, though beta testing is only available to PC users.

The patch will be featuring:

  • The Black Emporium - a special shop where Inquisitors will be able to purchase materials, schematics, a "mirror of transformation" to change appearance, weapons, armor and more

  • Auto attack

  • The ability to bind more mouse buttons than are currently available

  • Party storage at Skyhold

  • Tints to alter the color of armor

The patch will also include bug fixes and feature enhancements that players have been asking for since launch.

They put in walking for the PC a patch or two ago, I believe.

I would like the ability to sit in chairs and or beds myself.  x3  Just sit in the tavern and listen to the songs.

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

ill wait and see. Good thing i havent purchased the game. I dont waste my money on single player RPGs plagued with microtransactions. Too bad because i wanted to play it.

If you wanted to play it you would've purchased it already, I don't see how a microtransaction can turn you off a single player game RPG anyways.  Save for one as credible as the Dragon Age series.

Black emporium was in DA2 and yes you buy items from it with gold, not $. There will be an urchin whom you won't be able to touch, if you try to talk to him more than a few time the emporium guardian will kill you...

Glad I am enjoying the game without any use of microtransactions, didn't even know they had them to be honost. And am very glad I picked the game up 2 months ago because WOW the game is fun to me. The whole Skyhold actually suprised me as I thought it was the end but the game opened up so much more after.

As for the topic, be looking forward to it but will wait till it's released live.

It's almost like they're supposed to have a QA team or something for this.

The Beta seems to be more feedback related rather than bug hunting but considering technical issues, even on consoles!, accompanying the launch...good point.

Well since these features are all requests from players in the forum, asking the players to test it is pretty logical.

QA is better used for bug and glitches hunting while Players are better for feedback on these features.

    Do you mean:

"If you’d rather not grind, you can purchase Platinum, which is an “optional time saver” currency. “Nothing is behind a paywall,” Costa said. “We will never sell you an item.” which just speeds up unlocks"

Which is multiplayer only, but perhaps you only gonna play the game multiplayer only? These "unlocks"can also be earned just by playing.

Then again some people read "cashshop" somewhere on the internet and asume the game is riddled by it....LOL

    This ^^

If you are skipping this game because of the MP "cash shop" then you are missing out. The MP part of this game is so small compared to the SP aspect. The ability to buy platinum to be used in the MP is so useless its not even funny.

I cant figure out why anyone would even use it, as it is strictly a time save item. For the same unlocks you get just by playing.

"Plagued " by microtransactions this game is not...

The re-binding of mouse buttons has been deemed to difficult for a AAA game development company and has been redacted from Patch 5.
