We were able to chat with ArenaNet’s Roy Cto nacher and Jon Peters this week about the 9th and newest profession for Guild Wars 2, The Revenant. Debuting briefly at PAX South, with more details being released over the course of this week, the Rev (as I like to call him) is unlike any of the other Heavy Professions in Guild Wars canon so far.

UPDATE:
ArenaNet will demo the revenant for the first time on Points of Interest, the official Guild Wars 2 livestream airing Friday, February 20 at 12 pm PST / 3 pm EST on www.twitch.tv/
GuildWars2. Cronacher will join Game Design Lead Jon Peters and host Rubi Bayer as they highlight why players should get excited for the new profession. They're giving the first peek at the revenant's ability to channel Guild Wars legends such as the demon Mallyx the Unyielding and legendary dwarf king Jalis Iron-hammer.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Rytlock comes back from the Mists (see Season 1 of the Living World)
Season 2, not Season 1. But I get the confusion, it has been a while.

Nope. Not "officially". But yeah, pretty much.

"you’ll be slotting Legendary Heroes from the Mists themselves… Some may be evil, some may be good," + "*Hint-Hint* there may be more from other GW1 campaigns coming too."
Kuunnavang confirmed? :P
Either way, I'm totally ecstatic for this!
Meh I'm more interested in how they are continuing to fix PVE combat for the older classes! Taunt and slow are great but honestly we need something done about condition stacking and healing so that we can at least have a trinity lite. Trinity lite exists in NWO and it's been awesome to see that even though there is freedom in your spec you do still have a choice on creating groups like this with the standard trinity with strategies.
I think if they continue with Taunt and Slow as a baseline and improve healing for all support roles they'll have a game where there are actual strategies again! One that has more to offer than being stuck in an endless Zerker zerg meta.

I find it funny how they did not put energy management into the game from the start because they 'did not want people to have to deal with that nonsense' or something like that. Now the Revenant uses an energy management system (kind of like Thief's Initiative).
I much prefer energy management to long, boring cooldowns though, so this is a welcome change for me.

Yea from what I read it's looking to be my main.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.
I was really impressed with the mesmer class. It seems there is going to be a similar feeling with this class, which is great.
I will need to buy an extra character slot though.
Maybe the extra character slot will be included in the expansion price! I would hope so!
I hope so! I'll ask.

Yay Bill! Great job man!
I dunno if you mentioned, but it might be important to point out that the rev legends change utility slot skills not weapon slot skill. Differing from the Engineer.
Yeah... That's not happening Cause they already have norn ults for that and I think making a class based around that would take away part of the attractivity of the norn, eventhough these transformations are pretty bad compared to profession ults.
Atrtractivity? WTF is attractivity? lol The word is "Attractiveness"
L2English !!
I'll wait til 3 months after the xpac has been dropped to get excited about the Revenant lol.
Chances are he'll be OP at start then get nerfed just like with other games that introduce new classes into pvp situations.
Or everyone will be playing one and he'll get nerfed because there's too many of them around.
Still, I like the idea of the class.
