oh look how nice, mmorpg.com is advertising crowfall for crowfall. How much of a kickback are you guys getting? After you shat all over Camelot unchained for trying to get their word out during their kickstarter..
I'm a little confused about the eternal kingdoms part of the game. I'm assuming no one can take your building/castle there?
I will play anything that promotes treating people like adults and involves risk vs reward. Cautiously optimistic despite the graphics and current combat videos.

That's the way I understand it. Though there was a mention of possibly having some control over the rules of your own "kingdom." I don't know if that was a plan, or just idle banter. Looks like there are some kickstarter rewards that hint at it being more than speculation, though.

Eternal Kingdoms is the lobby of the game. There's no resources or anything there and you get those resources by visiting other worlds (aka playing the game).
Think of it like if you played LoL and each time you finished a match you earned resources to build stuff in a shared lobby where everyone can see what you have.

And if I come with 5 buddies, blow you up and take your ore, where is my risk? Yet, I get same reward as you.Got the point? The risk is Im actually bait fit and you actually just got hotdropped and lost all your ships.Or for fantasy people, a lot of my rogue friends were stealthed nearby.Just cause you have 4 guys with you doesn't remove your risk, it actually makes you a better target for even bigger groups. You removed most of the risk from solo players, but in turn you gained more risk vs larger groups. No you didnt gain more risk vs larger groups. These 4 guys would then just give up and join the larger group because they dont want to get killed. Dont believe me? in SWG I played as a Rebel and in the City of Monia Imps use to come there all the time with about 20 or so people and normally there was about 12 of us rebels running around. After a few weeks of so so PVP that was going on most of the Rebels were tired of loosing to the Imps. So guess what happened? Yes just about all but maybe 3 of us because we were friends joined the Imp side. So the Imps kept coming back but sitting on their asses complaining when only 3 of us were running around and not flagging up to fight them. 3 people are not going to flag up against 30 other people. PVP JUST WILL NOT HAPPEN. PERIOD END OF STORY. A few weeks of that went by and no one even stepped into Monia because there was nothing to do no one to fight.
I can give you another situation that happened in a Sandbox MMO. I played AA and use to do trade runs with about 10 to 20 people to friedrich. Well Every night about 60+ people would sit there and wait to attack people who were carrying trade packs to turn in. Yea there would be an odd time where 80+ people would turn in however after the first 2 months that rarely happened anymore. What happened to that 10 to 20 people. Thats right they knew they couldnt win vs 60 people and getting enough people was not happening so they STOPPED going to friedrich to turn in packs. So more people joined the 60 people and soon them 60 people got bored because well No one ever came to friedrich anymore to turn in packs. PVP didnt happen nor Risk vs Reward.
So this BS that Risk VS Reward is nothing other than BS. It just does not work because people dont want to admit that today's gamer just will not play games today that puts anything they put effort into at risk of some person killing them and taking it from them. Period it just will not happen. I can see Item Decay that make take 100 or so deaths or weeks to months to break. That is not too out of the realm of workable. Until Developers realize that yes some old school things CAN work without going to the PVP Risk vs Reward drama talk we might get some traction to move forward with the MMO industry.
Sounds like if those packs were a rare resource (I doubt they were in actuality, the way you talk about them you could do them in other locations) then they would be quite valuable since no one was able to get them due to PVP. Thus the price rises and you are rewarded for the increased risk of that area being a PVP hotspot.
SWG battlegrounds didn't have any risks, one side just got bored of losing so they quit.
For archage you didn't want to deal with the risk of losing your trade packs so you stopped doing them (and thus forfeited the potential rewards).
Just do not think the way they think it will work actually will.
Most likely scenario is that the strongest guild/alliance will hold the "best" area and raid all the others to get their PVP kick. which will move most to try to join the best alliance. Or quit.
It will cost to maintain everything and rewards aren't unlimited. Could have 1000 member guild that wins every campaign, but the resources to fuel the army along with having to share spoils with all wouldn't be very exciting. If people only want to win to win, guess it might work, but part of the reason is for the glory and reward. "Yay we dominated with out 10:1 guild size!"
They've said that players will be able to join/quit campaigns, possible penalties for doing so. Which allows some room to jump out of games if they are totally lopsided and pointless.
Lots to still figure out, but sounds like they are planning for a lot of "what if" situations.

Eh this was a mistake,it actualy starts this summer of 2015.

I guess you didnt play AA. You got Gilda Stars for taking your packs to Friedrich the ONLY way to get them was to take them to Friedrich or to the other continent. Both were very high risk and you could loss your pack. You could ONLY get Gilda stars this way. Guess what when all the large guilds got their needed Gilda stars for ships and everything they STOPPED doing the runs. So you could only find small groups willing to go and when you have 60+ people sitting waiting for you, the runs never happened. Period end of story so people left the game. Risk vs Reward DOES NOT HAPPEN PERIOD people just quit the game because they do not want the headache of handing the so CALLED PVP players free stuff. Its a false way of thinking if you think systems like this work. It just does not.
Dont see much things to get interested for me based in what is writing and the TheHiveLeader video only promotes the project, not the usually stuff he normally give to us, but i understand he might be hyped with this project and theres nothing wrong with that.
Anyway, i keep my eye on news but so far i just see a hub game with big instances, not my cup of tea, i might change my mind untill release but i dont thing so.
I dont like graphics and art style but if the features are good i can live well with that, the combat is to early to have a final opinion.
Dont know why but all this remember the GW2 development project "innovation, brilliante ideas, do other games features in the right way, everyone will be happy in-game, etc, etc"
oh look how nice, mmorpg.com is advertising crowfall for crowfall. How much of a kickback are you guys getting? After you shat all over Camelot unchained for trying to get their word out during their kickstarter..
Lack of "global auction" is absolutely dumb - people will just non-stop spam the in-game chat, in-game private messages or some out-of-game forums with messages about what resource they want to trade. Which is annoying, especially when 1000's of people will do this at the same time. Or someone will create a in-game plugin/addon (legal or not - doesn't really matter, if there will be the need - it will be used) which will function exactly like a "global auction house" for each user.
Also, I can already see the hordes of "gold farmers" trying to "farm" certain "campaign" for certain resources, 24/7, using bots or live players with "personal protection army" to scare away the legitimate players which might be present in same area.
Combat looks worse than Wildstar, and that's really saying something. PvP will be one side dominating another in horrible zerg fests, the hunger system will be removed, game will be unfinished and abandoned, refunds will be protested for and never obtained when the game launches as absolute garbage.
I would literally bet money on every one of those things coming true. Better than betting it on some lame Kickstarter crap.

It's actually a pretty brilliant idea.
I'm not too crazy about the art design but the premise is excellent.

Isnt that Hero engine ?
Slow and dull combat, one skill/second ?
Cartoon style ?
Instances and no huge open world ?
