Yes, If you never played WoW I would recommend it. Try different classes up to at least level 20. See which one clicks with you.

Endgame is what you make of it. Sure, there will be times when you try to decide "What now?" , but as a new player I believe you won't have that problem at all..Until you have more than one Level 100. ;)

A fresh MMO for a new player has many options.

Tell your GF NOT to help you out with gear ect or to kill Elites for you ect as this will take away the experience. Instead, Have her make a new level 1 with you and adventure together, NO Heirlooms.

I think you will have a great experience, but that is all up to you. :)

    1. I gona slap you in the head, you have a woman that want to game with you and your not running to enjoy her company? Most men would kill to play any MMO with a woman they love.

    2. Even if you dont like WoW you should try it. Its like Star Wars, biggest SciFi movie ever and even people who dont like that kinda thing watch it to see why. WoW is the single biggest earning game in the industry. You gota try it at least once.

Agreed with your 1. Lol if you actually found a woman who enjoys a game, it shouldn't matter if the game is good or bad lol.

But seriously, WoW is alright. If you have no experience with MMORPGs in general, its a good start. Hunter if you pick a class since its pretty overpowered and self-sufficient in almost every situation. Leveling has been dumbed down so much you can get from 1-100 in around a week if you're a casual player, of course less if you play a lot and play as either a class that has a healer or tank spec.

Well, when I started WoW I wanted something that I knew if I sunk a lot of time into it, it wouldn't be shutting down in a month. Seeing as it was, and still is the biggest subscription based MMO out, and has millions of players and it's the best MMORPG out, I played, and played, and no lifed it for awhile. I've been on a break a lot this year, I don't really like the expansion, but it's still the best out without a doubt lol.

Good point. There's really only two sub based games that you know wont go B2P or F2P anytime soon, which are WoW and FFXIV. Only thing you'll have to worry about in regards to them are sells. As for end game being hard/easy really depends on your class and your guild. Hunter is honestly the easiest class to play for everything and if you get a good guild on top of that then end game is easy as well. Warlock and Paladin aren't horrible and imo are easier to play than the rest cause of their survive mechanics incase you are hit with several "Oh sh....t" moments. But it'll take a good month to get pretty established in wow before you honestly should worry about end game imo, such as leveling a couple of extra classes and stabilizing your garrisons etc. Garrisons are a casual's best friend but the bane of a hardcore gamer's existence.

Whether WoW is worth the money or not, playing an MMORPG with your girlfriend most certainly is.

I really hope that *insert game name here* will be the first game to ever live up to all of its pre-release promises, maintain a manageable hype level and have a clean release. Just don't expect me to hold my breath.

Hold up,,, let me get this straight.. You have a GF who plays WoW,, with at least one level 100 character, which means she most likely has been playing for years,,, and you NEVER once played the game with or without her??? Shame on you, sir! lol jk! But seriously, I've had 4 gf's over the years who i tried getting into MMO's. NONE of them played longer than a day before politely telling me its not their "cup of tea" lol.

Like some of the community has suggested, I recommend that you try the game at least until level 20. Have your GF do a "Recruit a friend" for you so you both could play together. You'll earn 3x more experience while hunting together, which will make the leveling much easier. However, If you do this, I recommend you choose the best class and archtype that suits your playstyle best, so you don'twaste time rerolling..

For example, I knew I wanted to play a rogue, but decided to try something different. My first class in 2004 was a shaman. I played to level 20, hated it due to how the class is played, "totems are dumb, period" lol, so i rerolled and created a Hunter. Back in vanilla, hunters were absolutely horrible at the early levels, I tried it until level 15 before getting frustrated at how dumb the class played, before finally choosing a rogue. I loved it immediately and didn't play another class until DK's were implemented. Back then Rogues were kind of gimped at end game raiding, so I switched to DK and it's still my main to this day,, whenever i feel like playing..

So, first, I recommend you seriously think of what role you want to play regarding leveling, grouping, and raiding.. Leveling is the easiest, but also long and tedious, so i'd play something you believe you will enjoy. Do you see yourself as a meatshield heavy armor wearing melee class? Do you prefer to be a melee or range dps expert, Healing, playing a pet class, a hybrid healer dps'er, etc? Pick the class that best compliments your style..

Oh, you asked if it would be worth the money.. Why would u ask that? Its 15 dollars a month, OF COURSE it would be worth it! You can get countless hours of fun gameplay time with your gf for only 15 dollars a month! Not to sound cheap, but going out to a movie for 2 hours will cost you at least 25 dollars if you get buttery popcorn and a drink. 2 hours later its over, lol. So, which sounds better? 15 dollars a month or 15 dollars for 2 hours and a chance the movie sucks, lol

And have fun with your gf, dude!!
