General: Indie Sci-Fi MMO Warside Launches May 5th on Steam

Russian Indie studio Kraken Games is gearing up for next Tuesday's Steam release of its debut project, session-based sci-fi MMO, Warside. The game's been greenlit for Steam early access May 5th, and will offer players a mix of 2.5D shooter, MMO and RPG elements.

Among other things, Warside's features include:


  • PvP (5 battle modes) and PvE (coop) modes

  • A flexible leveling system

  • Hybrid RPG stats/twitch skills gameplay

  • Lots of weapons, armor and implants

    5 people in a game qualifies as MMO? we really are gonna have to start calling euchre a mmo soon

    This is ridicilous.

    I know the mmo genre is in dire straits and you decided to start covering RPGs only to have some content on the site.

    But at least keep bare semblance of profesionalism. Some other sites might be forgiven not knbowing difference between lobby multiplayer and MMO. But this site should not fall so low

    Pretty much this. I seriously wonder if this person read the game information before writing this. Hell, maybe she/he pawned it off on an assistant. Really though, pay attention and TRY HARDER.

    Hearthstone is considered MMO here. The game has 2 people in a game.
