So are we now allowed to start posting links to piracy sites on these forums or is it a pay for post type thing with that? I am sure many users know some great places to get video games, music and art for free!
I would call it copyright theft if I knew the whole situation, but I have more important things to do. But you act like I should already know everything for posting. I would only say that it might be. Did you actually call Blizzard and everywhere else and ask them if they gave them permission? Did you actually call them or even play the game to find out if they are making money?
I am more interested in the other stuff I inferred to about modular game development from hundreds, possibly thousands of indie game companies, all working on a single MMORPG, that has interchangable parts.

I actually contacted Square Enix over this. Waiting until I get the full comment from their legal department before I write anything up, which could be tomorrow or later this week.
the music is actually the World of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King expansion Intro named * arthas my son*
and yes, cheap ripoffs, cheap company, hope they crash and burn.
Apparently they have enough money to keep buying ad space here.
Battle for Sexy Angels. Play Free.
And sometimes the MMORPG.COM videos have a LoA advert that says "play video" that leads to their website. Underneath is a a much smaller link to the mmorpg video.

Blizz is already aware of all the things they have stolen from their company alone but them being Chinese it makes it next to impossible to do anything about it.
Wheres a dedicated team of hackers to burn league of angels website to the ground?
Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing). German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century. Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now). I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things). In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while. If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.
Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this. If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own. Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis. Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

My complaint was more to the OP for not doing proper research before posting. I loaded onto the page with the fireballs so no FF14 theme song or anything so yes poor reporting from the OP. IF you had to refresh the page to change it to that he should have mentioned it in his original post. enough said on this topic
Haha wow this game has a white knight? I thought I'd seen everything on these forms.
More Like a Dark Knight, and he was probably stolen from Christopher Nolan, and DC comics.
like blizz never stole anything from other games ;D
steal the idea, lore, whatever and make a little change
A joke it may be...
But there is a difference between taking an idea or getting inspiration and then creating your own content with your own manpower than flat out plagiarism. In addition, it is usually that said content is typically better than whence the inspiration originally came.
Also, darn you for making me defend Blizzard when I have little more than contempt with them at the moment.

Wow. Footage, music, everything. They didn't even attempt to hide the fact that they stole it. Shame on them. I hope they get sued to Eorzea and back.
I hope this site stops running their ads. Being associated with a company which does crap like this certainly won't do them any favors.

Seems obvious... but we better investigate!

Well that is the key difference here... They changed things... Made them their own...
Just because i splice the audio from Star Trek:In to darkness over the footage of Transformers: Age of the fallen Destruction.. Does not make it mine to sell and distribute... it is still a breach of compyright (unless it is done under the fairly limited "fair use" but that is not what we are talking about here)
I would have no problems if they used frames or cuts from the trailers or remixed the songs (or more specific.. parts of them)
Lol wow, that's pretty obvious and crazy. Square Enix in particular is usually pretty strict with their copyright, so I can't imagine they allowed this.
Guess they thought no one would find out given that no one cares about their game.
Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

Pizza Hut actually doesn't always sell pizza. They sometimes have salad bars, arcades, etc, and sometimes they chump you on sauce, probably because it's the most expensive part. But you may end up with only dried bread and cheese even though you ordered extra sauce.

Yes... but I'm also not sure it's LOA doing it. LOA can be played through gtarcade or R2 games (and possibly others.)
The link from this site takes you to a special ad @ gtarcade that isn't even the LOA landing page but just seems to be an ad between here and there. This is the gtarcade LOA page. And this is the Reality Squared one.
I use the WOT Chrome extension for website rating and the link from this site that has the stolen artwork and music is rated in the red (as in stay away!) zone. The individual landing pages I linked above are both green (safe.)
So... IDK what the hell is going on around mmorpg.com lately but some of their links are taking me to dodgy places. Even their new video hosting site of choice, Playwire, is giving me those WOT red rating warnings.
Maybe we should be directing our wrath at mmorpg.com for linking us there?
PS... and no, I don't play LOA I was just curious about how such a blatant rip-off could keep going so I decided to dig into it a bit.

Lol.
They are pathetic
Not only this but they stole half the title of the League of legends game.
THis looks exactly how un creative developers nowdays are.
Expect big fail from people that copy others and cant be original.
Blizz is already aware of all the things they have stolen from their company alone but them being Chinese it makes it next to impossible to do anything about it.

I remember clicking on them months ago and they were using the original FFXIV cinematic with the actual song "Answers".
With this one, they're using FFXIV Heavensward's cinematic with World of Warcraft's Wrath of the Lich King.

Wow, so they took FF:ARR new heaven trailer and then mashed a bad remix out of world of warcraft Lich King trailer...
So original
