Financial schemers on console have figured out a way to gain about 100,000 Crowns in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It takes about an hour and comes via an exploit that can be seen as somewhat tedious, but that can net some big bucks from virtual NPCs.
Take that for what it's worth. It is a single-player game, after all. Right?

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
Yeah i have to say, it must be a slow day if this is worth reporting on an MMO site nonetheless.
So now you've lowered yourselves to this? Encouraging exploits? What next? A video tutorial to how to multi-box and gold-farm in WoW?
Shame on you.

It is a single player game with NO co op or MP features. A very far cry from exploiting in an MMO like WoW.
It's the behavior they're encouraging. Exploiting is still exploiting. Also, why's it news? It's like gossiping about a celebritie's latest blunder.

Hey look, another click link. Maybe I'll find an article. Nope... yet another useless video.
Is this the future of MMORPG? Ever since you teamed up with that other group (who's marketing is so useless I've forgotten their name).... it's all videos... that I don't care about.
You know what the personality was/is of this site? Actual writers.. contributing. I don't need to come to this site if I'm looking for videos. I could google that.

+1 It's just a game...soon to be patched.

This is newsworthy?
It doesn't matter if it's a single player game. Posting a video that shows how to cheat in ANY game is encouraging negative behavior and leads people to believe that these types of activities are acceptable, when they most certainly are not.
If someone wants to cheat in a single player rpg, all the power to them. It doesn't effect me or anyone else. However, advertising that type of behavior here for everyone to see is simply bad form.
erm, this sounds to me like you are being rigid and a little controlling. If this was a multiplayer game I'd be right there with you. But single player? Who cares.
In the elder scrolls games one can use the control console to give basically anything in the game, including gold. very easy.
After I've played them for a while I routinely give myself items that will flesh out my character. Sometimes that's gold, sometimes that's an armor or weapon mod, etc.
It's my experience and I like that I can tailor it to my liking. I even use the construction set to give my character custom made spells or abilities.
If the player can't make their own decisions about their own game play and if they ruin it for themselves then "lesson learned".

Exploits don't exist in a single player game. Ever heard of cheat codes? You can give yourself a gazillion gold in Skyrim any time, and the developers put it in there. How is this any different? Relax,
Seriously, read my lats post. Wow, where do you people come from? Let me know so I stay away from wherever that is. I don't use cheats personally because it ruins the game for me, but wow, relax. Geez.
I don't have a problem when a game uses npc marketing as long as it is not always the same and exploited via the internet. They should have each npc a random stock holder. Then it is up to the player to visit npc's and discover who wants what and the value system.
If it is always the same and exploited the net, then it is just a weak design as everyone will be doing it.That makes it not a game anymore, just people exploiting code and not even random code.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I think it was Saints Row 3 that let you use cheats in the game to make it easier but if you activated them you would not earn any achievements in that playthrough. More single player games could offer that. If you want to exploit, you dont get achievements. After all, its a single player game so you are not affecting anyone else but yourself.
But if this currency exploit is a bug, i hope it is patched by the time i get the game. I dont like cheating myself in SP games but the fact that the exploit exists makes me feel that i am wasting time by not using it. Im sure CD Project Red will patch it since now SP games get patches like any online game.
