A new patch was released yesterday. (Patch Notes)
As a PvE player I'm so glad that they're now working on the lacking PvE features. I've been testing this patch for couple of weeks on the public test server now and it adds so much content.
Especially doing these assignments in a group is fun and challenging, as the difficulty and rewards scale up, regarding on how many players are in the same squad. And when shit hits the fan and the support bots run out of accumulator, oh so much fun to be had!
PS:
As Perpetuum is also on Steam, there's a 50% sale ongoing at the moment on both their website and Steam.

I played Perpetuum in beta, and steam patch but this should be said:
1) The game is slower paced than eve, slow robots, slow combat. Really boring. Slower mining, slower travelling ect. They could have made the game faster paced than eve to have a unique product, and to get those players that found eve a little too boring to play Perpetuum. Instead they made it even slower and more boring to the point where eve feels like a FPS compared to perpetuum.
2) Lack of any strategy in regards to building your robot, how to use your robot in combat. It is like eve except with only one or two proper ways to fit a robot, and one way to use it. Completely dull number based combat. Whoever brings more money worth of robots will win any engagement.
3) Lack of common sense from devs.
4) Lack of players. <50 people logged in at any time for years now.
Perpetuum is not worth discussion at all imo.
How exactly is a spreadsheet game with fancy graphics more fast paced than WASD controls? Have you even played any of these games? Makes it really hard to take you seriously after reading this.
While it probably has less items than EVE, it offers much more customization through fitting various items than most MMORPGs. Of course if you're incapable of thinking outside the box and coming up with new fits, you're left with the basic, probably weak fits.
I agree. Some mistakes were definitely made.
Population is pretty low indeed.
You sure spent some of you valuable time discussing about this game, so I think it's worth for you at least.
The WSAD controls in perpetuum don't factor into combat at all with how slow the robots move. There is no dodging ect so it is exactly the same as eve, but with less strategy going on. It is indeed slower paced combat and requires much less strategy and skill than eve.
If you can enjoy playing a game as boring as perpetuum, a game so bad that people won't even play it with no sub the more power to you. The game costs a few bucks on steam and has no sub and people aren't willing to play or talk about it for a reason. Enjoy the empty game and empty thread here.
The combat in Perp is WAAAAY better then EVE. The WASD alone, and the fact that you can use your enviroment for cover etc makes it that much more complex AND more fun then EVEs combat. Makes me wonder if you even tested Perp with a statement like that.
