The Division has been one of my most anticipated games for quite some time. It feels like years really. That's why I I started foaming at the mouth when Ubisoft asked if I wanted to get some hands-on time with the game. I'm pretty sure I had to be resuscitated.

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

i just assumed that you didn't need a reason for a snow globe. I always thought it was one of those things that didn't need explaining to be awesome.

All spelling and typographical errors are based soely on the fact that i just dont care. If you must point out my lack of atention to detail, please do it with a smile.

Sounds cool, wish we could get a video as well hehe
Have high hopes for this one, would be cool to get a true persistent shooter MMO like that in the PC space. I won't pre-order it, as there is not even a shred of anything akin to a "guarantee" that it will deliver, but I'll save up the $$ for it.
Might even grab the physical collector's edition. It's one of those rare boxes with actually useful stuff (a watch and an armband).
Lol snowdrop? I guess frostbite was already taken and snowflake didn't sound cool enough.
I am excited but remember the Ides of Destiny...
There have been a ton of games lately we were all drooling over only to get the game and be like what the fuck is this piece of trash...
I LOL'd
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
"Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
Nothing good about this. The graphics have been downgraded ALOT since the first trailer. It looked so good- guess once they realized how bad the new consoles are- they had to.
Same with Witcher 3.
so true:)
Yeah it's pretty irritating. All that dev work is done on computers and then when it comes time to cram it into the console specs, people are all like, "heeeeyyy y u no luk saym?"
All they showed was a scripted trailer, lol.
Of course it makes the game look good, that was the entire intention of the presentation. Highly addictive? Compared to what? It's a casual game that most people will play for an hour or two and then move on to something else for the rest of the evening.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands looks WAY better than the Division.
so how much of the pve content is "trapped" (prbly not the best word) behind pvp skirmish stuff? from the previews a year+ ago, it seemed like there was a good amount of pve, and some open area pvp, but from this write up, the game sounds pretty pvp heavy?
i like pvp, but i like it like my food. separate, not touching the other stuff on the plate. for me, when games start to cross the streams so to speak, they're almost always begging for trouble w/ balance, nerfs, etc.. again, for me, give me a pvp game, or a pve one, not a jack of all trades trying to please multiple "masters"
I love the "look" and premise of this game, but I'm fairly worried that it may turn out to be another Titanfall...
They're taking an awful long time to get it done by the looks of it, and that usually means one thing: they are running into problems that are not easily solved.
Perhaps I'm not following the development closely enough, but it also seems that there's a definite shortage of details concerning the game play. Hopefully that's not because the details are still changing significantly. If they're still trying to figure out how to make the game play compelling, then it's not a good sign...
The Witcher 3 was a bit of an eye opener, i mean, the game was designed for consoles primarily, so PC graphics could have been better, but even so, 900p x 30 fps on XB1, 1080 x 30fps on PS4, and 1080 x 60fps on PC, even so the game does look great, but, Division is being made by Ubisoft, and just recently we had the whole Assassins Creed debacle, so the question really is, is the game going to even work properly? Lot of people looking forward to this title, so they really do need to get it right, not to mention game content, i don't think anyone really wants another 'lets repeat this crap 50x' Destiny.
So Ubisoft your on notice, screw this one up and nobody will ever buy your games again... probably.. god i hope they don't screw it up.
massive games take a massive amount of time to develop
imagine how long they worked on it before it was even announced.
this is going to be HUGE
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!
If you were put off by the Destiny grind, then you might consider waiting until the reviews are in for this one. Based on some early feedback from E3, I've heard that it is repetitive, in the same way Destiny is, but does create interesting PvP opportunities, which could spice things up. It is lacking a melee attack, apparently. No melee? huh.... weird.

it wont be open world, it would be like TheDestiny, with PvE zones and PvP zones (like this we saw this year). And those PvP zones will be like mini DayZ maps. It isn't so bad, but its far from MMO terms ...
also it's from Ubishit...
