Echo of Soul: Steam Launch Date Arrives

Aeria Games has announced that its new MMO, Echo of Soul, has officially launched on Steam. All players logging into EoS through midnight tonight will be awarded Levina's Blessing for 24 hours.

Echo of Soul features five distinct classes with which to explore the game's vast, beautiful world: the Warrior, a fearsome knight; the Archer, an enigmatic songbird; the Rogue, a solitary assassin; the Guardian, a warden of nature; and the Sorceress, a master of ice and fire spells.

    I'm still getting Trojan warnings from my anti virus whenever I try and install this, even from Steam. It's probably nothing but I'm not willing to take chances for a game like this. Until they can sort their shit out, pass.

    The only reason that your anti-virus is picking this up as a Trojan is because Echo of Soul hides some of its files (such as GUI) because where most games will enable these files to be modded they do not. Due to the encryption on these files your anti-virus is unable to see the content and therefore assumes that it is malicious.

    No thanks. Have to jump through hoops just to get your account back because if you go a few months without logging in to any game they automatically ban your account.

    F2P so my wife and I will give it a try. If we play longer then a few days I will be shocked but I am up for being shocked. I hope its more then it looks =-)

    I actively play this game everyday. I will admit freely I'm concerned that Aeria games is in control, but so far it hasn't been a problem. Second, yes this is a free to play game and this also makes me cringe. To be honest I don't feel the need to spend money. So far I've spent about 20 dollars and I feel that was good enough. As an everyday pass the time game this isn't that bad. The combat is good and the pvp is decent. Compared to the games out there now this seems like a diamond in the ruff. There is so much garbage out there that this game is a welcome relief.

    Sadly this wasnt available in India region through steam.

    The game has a cheat engine that scans your hard drive for installed software and will tell you it needs to be uninstalled before the game will launch.

     

    I will pass on this, since they are doing this without my permission.
