Players who have subscribed to FINAL FANTASY XIV prior to March 31, 2015 and have not logged into the game between Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and Sunday, June 7, 2015.
* Those who are playing the Free Trial version are not eligible.
Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) to Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)
When logging into the game with an eligible character, you will be given 10 silver chocobo feathers that you can use to exchange for item level 120 equipment. Silver chocobo feathers can be exchanged via the Calamity Salvager NPC that is located in each city-state.
*The silver chocobo feathers will be sent to characters via the Moogle Delivery Service.
*If you have reached the maximum number of campaign item letters (20), you will need to delete previously stored/read campaign item letters to clear space so that the new letter can be delivered.
*If the campaign item letter is not received during the campaign period, you will not be able to obtain the bonus items.
Be sure not to miss out on this great opportunity!

It's worded very poorly on SE's own post. I read it myself and thought it was a free month to all previous subscribers. Such a letdown when I discovered that no, it's not a free login event, it's a free 10 feathers for endgame equipment if you re-sub to the game in this 30 day period.

I bought the Heavensward Bundle after playing the trial, and, surprisingly, they gave me 30 days of play. I wasn't expecting it since the original game was bundled with the expansion. As mentioned previously, often expansions to subscription MMO's don't come with free play time.

Now where does it even remotely indicate the a free month is coming AT ALL?
Welcome Back does not mean, Free Month.
I think the confusion has come around because SE usually do offer a free month with the welcome back campaigns historically with FFXI, in fact i'm pretty sure they've done it in the past with FFXIV..

Expansions usually dont have free months so im OK with that.
I have a question about the game... I own the game on PC but i want to purchase both the game and the expansion for PS4 and link my PC account. Do i still get the free month that comes with the base game and can i use it with my existing account on PS4?
I know that info is out there but i must be deaf that i cant find it. XIV site is kind of a mess.
EDIT: found it. yes i will get a free month for activating a new platform on the same account.
