How's that, if you get ilvl 115 gear from Heavensward quests. LMAo. What the'll be good for 1 level, till people start getting this kinda gear LMAO: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/7984895/
It's to help people the are under geared. For those who don't raid and shit. If the game wanted people back so bad they would have givin a free month or at least a free weekend.
Am I right?
Ummm, I may have a solution for you, buy Heavensward.
What expansion gives free game time?
Well? I'm waiting?
So guess we'll also have to excuse you for following him to this thread. Probably going to get a temp ban for this. You really need to stop though Darkfalz. We get it, you dislike FF ARR. Yet we find you just about every damn thread talking about it. Do you have Stockholm syndrome or something? Did the game kick your dog? Raise your taxes? Do you want to show us on the doll where the bad game touched you?
You have a very unhealthy fixation with a game you clearly dislike. Jeez I don't like GW2 or Eve-Online but you don't see me in every thread related to those games.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
Lol don't mind him and the constant crap he spews. FF:ARR is doing more than fine without him. In fact, his constant negative comments have not stunted the games healthy growth the least bit.
One does wonder about the obsessive fixation though. It is probably to the point where help should be sought but that is not my call.
And a post to actually call out the blatant hate....
A barrier that people have been well aware of for a very long time. You know....the one where the FF team wants you to actually play through the story. You know....the focal point of all games in the FF genre. Comment is an absolute troll status joke.
Alexander drops in ~two weeks. I see no point in waiting. Another solid piece of advice.
Content-less....this is where it is clear you are not here to be constructive in the least bit. The team that makes this game has pumped out more quality content on a regular basis than I have seen in any recent MMO that comes to mind. The fact that you do not find all available activities to participate in fulfilling enough is a personal problem.
Toss out a few games with more content in patches AND faster delivery. I want dates and patch notes. I am prepared to show you them for FF.
Just because he recently joined doesn't mean his opinion should be dismissed like this.
Actually all his points are true. Expansions don't give free time. Never. Ever. Or is there an exceptional example I have missed?
Heavensward is worth it right now if you enjoy FFXIV. I am not a raider and I won't raid in Heavensward but there is a lot of other content which I found enjoyable. Although I only play the game for something like 3-5 hours a week...
Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.
The more vocal haters a game has, the more successful it actually is. WoW has proven this to be true.
Success rubs some people the wrong way, especially when a hater feels that said success is not warranted (because he doesn't like the game).
This sit retracted the post and corrected it :
Catch-Up Perks for Returning
This portion is a rewrite of an earlier explanation, in which I misunderstood a promotional offer by Square Enix for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward.
Originally, I thought it was a free month thing with additional perks, but rereading the informaiton (and thanks to the commenters mentioning it below) led me to make an immediate request for edits.
Basically, players rejoining the game through subscriptions who were subscribed to FFXIV before March 31, but did not log in between April 1 and June 7 will get "10 silver chocobo feathers that you can use to exchange for item level 120 equipment."
These silver chocobo feathers can be exchanged via the Calamity Salvager NPC that is located in each city-state.
If you focus on one character, you can actually complete the Realm Reborn Story with the right item level, along with earning dungeon currency for buying additional item level 120 equipment. Not a bad show, really.
In any event, I’ll leave you guys with this video of an iconic Final Fantasy Theme Song, as rendered by 143 laptops. Cheers!

Eh, maybe eventually when I have nothing to play, as it stands now I'm not very impressed with the xpac.

IDK if this will help but, at least give it a watch.
Ya know, I read all his posts too and though he could have been a little nicer, he is right and has yet to be wrong.
i don't like how he delivers it but, for some people I guess you have too.
I agree, it's really sad how some people spend so much time of their lives just bashing games, but pathetic people are gonna do pathetic things I suppose.
GW2's expansion gives free game time, includes the base game for free, and is only $10 more ....
GW2 is buy to play, so the expansion doesn't give you any free time, and FFXIV ARR + HW costs $59.99.
If you don't have the base game, the GW2 expansion is bundled with the base game and gives you unlimited free game time all for less than the cost of just the FF14RR expansion and just one month game time.
Yea and GW2 has a cash shop that is in your face at all times. ARR has a cash shop of stuff that is very cheap that is hidden. Plus GW2 does not use the Trinity system you basically heal yourself and some classes you can solo the instances your self. Very Single Player Driven game. FFXIV pushes people to group and groups are required for a lot in this game, plus Jobs are built for grouping not single player.
Since I will no longer play any non P2P games I will never play a game like GW2 also I dont like that it does not have a Trinity. So trying to say this game is B2P and using it as a tempting thing, its really not. I would rather go buy a single player game and never have to see or deal with cash shop stuff ever.
Yea the quest here are not so good. Kind of like how I feel about SWTOR quest, I got board with them easy. Though I am not playing this game for the quest I am playing for the Dungeons so thats why I like the game. This game was never designed for the quest it was designed for Dungeons and Raids.
This isn't exactly the case. Its not that people hate on games simply because they are successful, people hate the fact that the success of some titles has stifled the advancement and innovation in the industry.
While the industry has been off following models and formulas rather than making the games they're passionate about, they've left players with a very limited selection of games. That pisses people off, so they blame it on WoW. Its displaced anger really, but what do you expect; with billions of people on the internet, the MMO industry has followed behind a game pulling a mere 10M of those potential players. Its disappointing to see a genre that once had so much potential fall so short.
