    LMAO

Do you know how Devilian Online is monetized? look up a video on the game Dirty Bomb.

Now add gems, regrading gear, etc as a monetization like with Archeage.

This isn't a slam against Trion's function as a business, as I'm sure they are doing well (they did get alot of my money in AA).  This is simply how the game is designed to be monetized.

I'm going to stay far far away from this P2W fiasco.

Jees guys, it's blindingly obvious, Trion have taken the profits from the Archeage store, bought the rights to Half Life 3 and this is the result, 'Half Life 3 Online - The Devil Is In The Retail'...

The hate on Rift cracks me up. To be honest, I end up going back to Rift more often after I get a my 3-5 month WoW fix over with, considering WoW gets old quick now with its simple ways to get gear and it's lack of endgame after rehashing dungeons.

Compare Rift to F2P MMORPG's and most MMORPG's out there, and it's just as good. I would say that FFXIV has the most momentum as of now as well as GW2, (Which are both good in their own merits) however you can easily compare it to many games and it matches up.

It's got the same core MMORPG gameplay and for FREE. Most games sacrifice gameplay because of it. Tera is great but quests are extremely repetitive where Rift has variety in questing. If you don't want to quest, you can level through PvP. If you don't want to PvP OR Quest, there are dungeons, Rift events, Instant Adventures, (Which are being updated now more periodically) and has a lot of old elements that made games like WoW popular during vanilla times. (Grinding rep, achievements for example) Rift also has it's EASILY best in MMO's wardrobe system. It also has dimensions as well.

It's easily the next best alternative to WoW if you are done with WoW. If you don't like either of those games, than it's just a question of tastes. You're better off to stick to other subscription games like FFXIV and SWTOR. However, F2P you won't find any other way to go.

A lot of you might say GW2, however if you aren't PvP friendly and you are not in a great guild, the game can get old quickly. I found myself getting bored after level 35. Your first dungeon isn't until level 30 (And if you arent in a good guild, good luck FINDING a group not just wanting to run low level dungeons, but one that have patience with you) so other than your story mode quest, you are left to either hearts or WvW/PvP. If that's your style, that's great, however once again, it's taste not the game itself.

I can say the MMORPG's i've listed, i've enjoyed quite a bit. However, Trion has done well with Rift. I hope that it continues to do well. I think it's going to be a dungeon crawler since its a game they havent jumped into. Here's hoping its not another MOBA...

Maybe some one needs to be reminded of the fact that shortly after release Rift become known as that game that everybody spoke highly of but no one played.

It takes one to know one.

Same when it's free to play how good there model is with rift, but people knowing that how Arche Age was a over sea then jump on and thinking that AA end up being the same.

I was in Allods playing that abit and seen how much control the main people who making the game then the one who was the publisher, in how much blame that the publisher got over the game maker. But now Allods under it's the makers it self and still the same but even worst then it was under the publisher that was befor.

But I don't mean that publisher should be off the hook too.

damn, the game looks rly bad. do they not know that Lost Ark is a thing? tree of savior is on its way with its steam greenlight.

i see what trion is doing now. i love AA, still play it. but trion should not be the company to get these games. they are doing better with AA now, in releasing updates quick. but its still easy to see that they care for money more than the life of their games.

i can see what trion is going to try. gl trion. gona become a bottom of the barrel company wanting nothing but money and losing love for gaming.

f2p top down dungeon crawl! get stronger with this stuff you can buy from our store so you can Win Win all those bosses but not get anything better than what your paying money for but its ok cause you can buy more items on the store. o and gl with those 10 slots of storage ;)
