It's been a while since those guys have caused a stir.

I wonder if the CEO threatened to ruin their hacking fun on H1-Z1.

My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Lizard squad...  Is that still a thing..?

This have been a good conversation

  • DullahanDullahan Member EpicPosts: 4,536

Ya guy from lizard squad or whatever just got sentenced. They were extremely lenient on him and it looks like that probably pissed off Smedley and he started talking smack on them via twitter. Probably caused him or his pals to start DDOSing again.

I sense a trap and those hackers just sprung it.

LOL The only trap is Smed's mouth, he'd better learn to keep it shut.

Smed has nothing to fear from those high school script kiddies. I am sure, like the first guy, any hackers will be caught very quickly.

I would say any time people are capable of shutting down your website, forums, launcher and game servers for a day, you have something to worry about.

If you can get into a good guild and like the pure gear grind it's a good game.  Even with good gear there is room for good players to shine and bad players to suck.  Of course the best good player in bad gear is going to struggle against bad players in good gear.

Anyone can DOS servers, even legit customers (happened to GW2 on launch day, the login server was DOSed by all the players trying to connect to it at the same time).

The issue is how Internet routers and servers were designed. Until the whole thing is overhauled and protocol changed, these type of attacks will continue.

They should have given him a felony record to follow him for the rest of his life and sue his ass.  It's like trolling a professional MMA fighter.  You may get a couple laughs in but when that dude catches you, you are done.  As you are at the podiatrist getting his foot out of your ass you may think twice about who you troll and if the consequences of your actions was worth it.

International law is hard to navigate. I think I read they were in sweden? so you get , " You hack the Americans? Haha, out ya go, be sure to grab a coupon for a free dinner on your way out"

dirtbags like this make me wish that, just for a few days, we could bring back corporeal punishment.

I vote we let Smed be the one who swings the cane into these guys' behinds (and normally [a] i'm not the biggest smed fan in the world and [b] i'm against over-punishment but some lessons can only really be taught with a whoopin')

RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Ya to me Smed is like a 46 year old in a teenagers mind,he likes to talk smack all the time like some nerd behind his computer.

I seriously am just boggled as to why Daybreak kept him as the CEO,there was definitely some legal reasons as well as cutting throats of his likely once friends.I guess he likely has soooo much money at this point he can act anyway he wants, money truly does buy power.

anyone can also be a criminal in right circumstances. doesn't make it any less worrying when you face one. these Lizard kids don't care about the consequences and attack huge companies anyway. taunting stupid kids like them is stupid.

Actually according to their age laws, he can sue the boy himself as they consider him an adult.

They swatted his house, bomb threat on the plane he was on, and DDoS attacks on Daybreak/SoE servers.  If the Feds can bring a good case to the table in international courts, the kid could be extradited and tried in America for federal cyber crime and terrorist charges.  Smed wouldn't have to lift a finger.

That also goes for anyone else who is found guilty of anything having to do with LS since they all could be charged with conspiracy.  Which wouldn't be hard to do since they seem to take the credit for a lot of things.

And that is why I pray that him taunting them into action is part of a sting, catch the little twerps red handed

And then what? Give them all 2 year suspended sentences?

probably, but you have to fight, you just let people walk all over you. If you do, they will keep walking on you. not to mention maybe they decide they want your money, or to make your life hell as well. Just let them do it , turn a blind eye so hopefully they don't turn their sights on you next? BS, God speed Smed and good luck!
