    Wow very dissapointing.

I was under the impression the imperial city would be a new alliance war area. Instead its just more pve and dungeons.

Not interested in more pve areas. End game is PVP and the imperial city should have been about PVP.

Likely to be riddled with the unfixed lag issues that the game still faces. Little too late imo, will be there just to pvp with the increased pops for a month or two, but after that I'm likely to uninstall the game without any interest in playing again.

Also, if you decide to sub for the month of it's release and then your sub lapses, will you still be able to keep the DLC?

From ESO : "The full Imperial City DLC game pack is included with an active ESO Plus membership. If you are not an ESO Plus member, or your membership lapses, the Imperial City DLC game pack costs 2,500 crowns in the ESOTU Crown Store."

What does 2500 crowns translate to in American currency?

~$20 if you take the 3000 crowns option.

Its also looking like its going to be forced PVP for PVE players if they want that new gear. Nice move ZOS.

Sounds like they're TRYING to make a Darkness Falls, one of the best remembered features of most of Mythic's games.

However like everything in TESO, it sounds a bit off...

Is this a big noninstanced zone with a ton of tough mobs in it? Or is it a stupid instance that you can SOMETIMES find other players in? Do you fight to CONTROL it like DF, or can anyone enter at any time?

Not sure can't tell from the video but from all we were hearing it was gonna be a darkness falls control zone where only the winning side could enter but that may pose a problem as it seems WVW is usually dominated by one side now........ Maybe since IC is gonna be smaller it won't be as bad

A whole $20.00 dollars for a great looking expansion? Wow, some people just love to find something to complain about. The loyal ESO fans have been waiting for this expansion for a very long time, and now those of us who have been loyal subscription customers will get it as part of our monthly fee. I find this to be a great thing. Some people just love to find something to complain about.

As far as the PvE content in the expansion we are fighting the army of the demi-god we defeated?  Hope they have a better story line for that.

Hmm... maybe if they made it so people couldn't just switch sides on a whim, it wouldn't be so dominated by super factions.

But good, incentive for people to compete in RvR is always a good idea.

The cost of the expansion - I'm going to spend more than that on lunch today.

Bring it on, especially the lootable stones, that is going to be fun :)

Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76)
Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe

The cost for the DLC is really reasonable when you consider they just sold a mount for 3000 crowns.

I hope this items will be trade for ppl without DLC or Premiun

Crafted Items and Items obtained through the new Stone currency will be able to be traded. Gear from the dungeons will be Bind on Pickup.

I dont like it but I guess I can understand them " encouraging " folks to get the DLC.

I would be concerned of cost.If this is just selling one map for 10-20 bucks that would be a rip off. What happens if they bore people enough, everyone will buy that one map anyhow, plus i am sure they will have some incentive to force the purchase.

Imagine if we charged game releases by the map,we would be paying 200+ for a game lol.I don't like charged DLC at all, what so ever.

As to your question, they mentioned they were putting the rest of the game on hold until they got things in order,to me it says all in on the dlc because it is a cash grab, the rest of the game can wait.

Careful... PVE can be habit forming.

How about that new partial loot PVP they're adding with the new stone tokens? ESO goes semi-hardcore :)

It's just a DLC, not an expansion. And, imo, a rather shallow one, not likely to be worth the price.

Ha-ha what a joke that dlc is. They added fluff and didn't even do what they said they would. Such as fix the justice system so there is pvp. Take veterans rank away. Or the one they said at the start, thieves guild, and dark brother hood. Looks like they added more crap you gotta grind for, and some cheesy copy paste dungeons, a skyrim amateur moder could make in a month. These people really depress me. I wouldn't buy this dlc if it was 50 cents, and came with a free pack of bubble gum. I honestly think they should just give up and close the game, and give the money to elder scrolls 6.

Or you can sub for 15$ and get it plus 1500 crowns. If you drop your sub you lose the DLC though.

Sometimes you really do go on don't you. It's a month and a half's sub fee. They don't require a sub. The sub package includes 1500 crowns a month. If you sub for a couple months you can play those maps while subbed and then buy the DLC.

It is a bad dlc don't encourage them by buying garbage.

LMAO!!! and i thought i have heard it all??

its called DLC for a reason, if you don't buy it you don't get it. lets just call every expansion every games comes out with P2W while we are at it.

i mean, since you cannot get the content unless you pay for it? lolz

No the go to add 2 new VR lvl so the new lvl cap will be 16 instead of 14 which i think is really sad when the told us the was go to remove VR system instead the add to it.

ESO won't be doing major expansions so don't get your hopes up. It's only DLCs.

For imperial city they're raising the veteran cap and they're charging 2500 crowns which is about $20-25 for a small piece of land in the middle of Cyrodiil which you have to PvP to get to and your faction must own 6 home keeps to access. Two PvE dungeons (one PvP public dungeon) and they added a token system for gear and the tokens can be looted by enemy gankers. No new trials and let's not forget that you need to queue up for Cyrodiil so there still be insane queue times just to do the new content. There's so much wrong with this idea it's absurd. ESO where being different means being stupid and broken!

I can only laugh at the clueless people here.

Lets analyze it a bit, 1 Normal ESO Zone = 3 WoW Normal Zones in size. There is a reason why Wayshrines are all over Tamriel. Developers put them there because the Zones are too big to travel without insta-travel.

Imperial City with the huge Sewers System is as big if not bigger than a Normal ESO Zone. It might seem like a small place because Cyrodiil is so freaking huge (9 ESO Zones or Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor size), but when you look at this freaking huge sewers system you get to see how really big this place is.

You're also getting not just 2 dungeons, but actually 4 new dungeons as the Veteran Dungeons share only the name and nothing else (Bosses are different, mechanics are different, layout is different, basically the story continues on). Perhaps even 5 dungeons, not sure how the PvP one will look, but it's supposedly 10x bigger than the Public Dungeons in the World (yes the big ones).

Apart from that we'll see 20+ New crafing item sets, PvP faction specific gear, which will be very hard to obtain + a ton of other PvE and PvP things to do. Not sure if Arena will be PvP or PvE.

It's really funny how people are underestimating ESO content schedule, if you put Imperial City with Orsinium it would have already more content than Warlords of Draenor for example. These DLCs are huge, and the price tag of 20-25$ is ridiculously low. But hey keep hating.

Not much info yet on looting stones from players you kill. Other than the mention in the IC description under the Imperial Sewers section where it says: "But be warned! Players from other alliances also patrol the depths, and if they defeat you, your Tel Var Stones will be theirs to plunder!"  just this one dev post about it:

You will have the option of depositing Tel Var Stones into the bank, but there are some minimum restrictions in place. Additionally, you will lose all of the stones on your person when you die in PvP. Both of these exact values are still subject to change as we continue to fine tune the system based on our logs and player feedback.
