I agree with this. When I am working my way to a node, or a shiny (in EQ2) and someone ninja's it always gets me angry. I was remaking a character on the new EQ2 server last night, and went to put in the same name and someone took it at that exact time, that got me angry too lol.
Back at WoW, doing a dungeon during the burning crusade era. A friend had just gotten his hunter to the level cap, first character. We're doing a guild dungeon run for fun, and partly to get him some gear, our healer has to go and no other guild healers online, so we just PuG it.
We got a healer, all geared in raid gear, starts talking about how good he is and how lucky we are that he decided to do that PUG, inspects us all, most of us in heroic and entry level raid epics, and the hunter in quest greens and blues, so he starts talking about how badly geared he is, and how some of his gear is so bad for his class and so on. We basically tell him about how he's still new, but he would still go on, we decided to push it since we had been there for a while (it was a long dungeon) and were very close to the last boss, but I'm angry about how he kept talking bad about his gear and his playing skill.
There's a tricky push in the room before the last boss, and we pull in two groups by mistake, I was tanking so I run in and manage to grab the second group before they get to the rest of the group, the hunter grabs another errand mob with his bear and looks like we might make it, the guy just yells "RESET" and runs away. One of our guildies in the group was playing shadow priest (DPS), so she shifted out of shadow and did her best to heal, but of course with a shadow spec you can't do that too well. In the end the hunter is the last one left alive fighting the last mob, we're all raging about how the other guy just ran away and left us there to wipe since we had already engaged, the guy just complaining about how expensive his repairs were if he died because of his gear.
We had the last laugh, though... after so much complaining he did come back and start healing the hunter that is about to die while fighting the last mob without a pet (his pet had just died)... when the hunter realized who it was, used feign death, the mob went right for the healer and killed him...
He ragequitted right there, calling us all noobs, we never finished the dungeon, but couldn't stop laughing for a while..

This drives me crazy also. Funniest part is, I'm playing ESO on PS4 now, and I forget people in the area can hear me, so the node thieves must hear an awful lot of "Oh, thanks for letting me pull those mobs away from the treasure chest so you can run in and loot it, you stupid asshole!"......and then my wife reminds me there are kids in the house and a mic next to my face.

Thanks had fun reading that.
They were many moments in my years of playing since Everquest but nothing that spectacularly stands out as angriest.

I used to do what he described in EQ. Some clown would train and kill my camp so I would go grab every mob in the zone, run at them, wave emote, then FD at their feet just as the cloud of mobs arrives. Being monk was so much fun. Lol
Anarchy online. There was this one mob who had a really long spawn time, and an online friend decided to help me camp him so I could get a pistol off of him(reet pistol?). The thing is, I needed to get two of them so this turned into an all day campfest. He spawned two times a day, and both times a different random person showed up at the last minute and killed him, stealing the kill and item from us.
finally it took three days of camping during odd hours of the day to get those two items that the mob dropped. When i finally got my items i was moving around my inventory and accidentally deleted them. I pretty much stopped playing at that point. Went to a main city and spammed general chat, giving away millions of credits then deleted my account and never went back.
When CCP devs in EVE online secretly helped their alliance (BOB) by giving them tech 2 blueprints to have an edge over others. That was straight disguisting.
No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
The moment when I realized that SWTOR was a big nothing after having dropped 150 bucks on the CE. Thinking about it now makes me want to physically hurt someone at Bioware from the original design team. They pretty much swindled hundreds of thousands of people.
MMORPG players are often like Hobbits: They don't like Adventures

In 2010 a game called Warstorm was acquired by Zynga from original company, Challenge Games. Hardcore players lost hundreds of dollars and some people more than a thousand dollars that day because Zynga restructured and extremely simplified the game for Facebook removing a lot of features. To give you some context, in the original Warstorm for $100 American dollars you could get 575 challenge coins. The price of the most expensive card, Captured Hill Giant, was 500-600 challenge coins on the player market. People who had spent their money on buying captured hill giants and other expensive cards were royally screwed by Zynga.
To add more insult to injury, in less than a year Zynga banned and completely removed Warstorm accounts of people who created fictional Facebook accounts in order to be able to continue playing the game. When Zynga took over, Warstorm could only be played after people linked their Facebook accounts to their Warstorm accounts. The company suddenly decided that people had to link their real Facebook accounts to the game and had some process that analysed and banned Warstorm accounts that were not attached to real Facebook accounts. That way Zynga also screwed people's right to anonymity.

Naaaaa, too embarassing to remember that.
Suffice to say, I was young and stupid.

What can men do against such reckless hate?

I as well suffered this mishap.
