in Open Beta Discussion

We are looking for people to be able to test our latest release as we continue our development.     I feel like you'd get a lot more players if this was a browser based game.

    Buggy, I logged in, did some of the starting quests, did the Mystery Cave quest, got a quest to help with some bandit waves invading the city, never could do it because it said I must finish my current instance, relogged, lost all of my progress I did with the starting quests, upgrading gear, so I quit.

    Edit: Ran the Mysterious Cave quest again, killed the Undead, and instead of warping me to the cave boss, it warped me to the beginning of the cave.

    Edit 2: Turns out my character was stuck in an old tutorial island that's buggy, just had to recreate to get to the new part lol.

    When all is said and done, more is always said than done.

    Info on pvp system? Open pvp ? restricted pvp? death penalties? etc

    "I found this new game to play, it said it was in beta (whatever that means).  And it had bugs and crashed sometimes, and sometimes they would erase all my progress, and there were sounds missing and weird graphics glitches and performance issues.  It was terrible, I don't recommend anyone play this game."

    What he meant was that you were in an actual beta test.

    Meaning you should have documented the issues and submitted them in the way that the developers provided. 

    It sounds to me that "being in an old tutorial area" is something they might want to know. And not "here". In some more reliable way.

    Playing a Beta "is playing for the bugs". You are looking for bugs, oddities. You are not playing to "play a game". Because otherwise, the highlighted portion is what's really going on.

    You're right, I worded it wrong. I quit for that night, if you check the forums I stuck with the game for a few weeks before I actually quit, and reported many bugs & gave suggestions. So all of this attacking me because I worded something wrong is hilarious. Stop trying to be white knights, it's clear you haven't checked out the game or you wouldn't of replied to what I put there. :>

    No one is trying to be a white knight.

    If you say something then say it. If you've misspoke then correct it.

    Otherwise all people have to go on is what "you said". Sometimes, believe it or not, the blame falls on you. 

    What, you think we are mind readers? Especially since you then said we were correct and "you" worded it incorrectly?

    In any case, "good for you" for helping out an indie dev.
