Hi,

I'm looking for MMORPG where there is an playable undead race (not vampires) and tons of PVP.

I've tried wow, but it wasn't that much fun for me.

Any good suggestions

    I don't know of one, but this reminds me of a thought I've had.

    If you want to have a PvP game with some controls, "racial" conflict being one means to PvP, then a much more detailed Undead "race" might be interesting.

    Imagine that you start out as a zombie. Then you proceed down several paths much like skill trees. But the paths lead to top end paths in Liches, Ghosts, Bone Demons, whatever.

    So for example, starting out as a zombie and wanting to become a Bone Demon, you'd build skills and seek the needed resources to first turn into a Skeleton, then into a Skeleton Warrior, then to a Skeletal Warmage, then you finally attempt to reach into Demon class.

    "Undead:

     The chaotic portion of evil is the unbalance that propels the mortal world to ruin. Neutral power with its natural law is corrupted at its roots, and the fabric of reality torn to release the insipid hosts of the damned. They want trees to die, the grass to grow brown and be as powder under their rotten steps. Everything dead, every aspect accounted for, even until hell and heaven are no more. That is the elder war, and the emergence of the Demiurge Prince of Death created the war in a new direction. Reality it seems at times is ripping apart at the seam. In this cantankerous tumult there is a unity that is hard to ignore, an order in the chaos that drives some to blissful madness. Those who find the ethereal energy and its embrace to be warm we label as the Undead.

    Undead Classes:

    Skeleton

    Corpse

    Ghoul

    Special Class:

    (Bone Dragon)

    Only playable by a Red/White-Great Wyrm class Dragon.

    Skeleton:

     A dead creature animated well after decomposition is not working with magic’s in decomposed tissue. It’s far deeper than that. The stuff that holds up a ghostly undead of this kind is the evidence of their eternal will to live on well after the flesh. They were under the spell of Death, and so had no choice once they had fallen. But in death, they have the choice to be more than they thought possible. That is, until all creation is dead."

    Skeleton Subclasses:

    Skeletal Warrior=Haunted Armor=Dreadnought=Death Lord=Cairn King/Queen

    Skeletal Mage=Demilich=Lich=Apparition=Lady/Lord Overlord

    Special Class: Half Giant:

    (Bone Golem)

    No Subclass

    Corpse:

     After death has caused a body to bloat and the ghoulish gives way to the onset of decay, a corpse tainted in this way then emerges as a zombified walking monster. From this humble start a true undead behemoth can grow. They spread sickness in NPC creatures and can have hordes under their command in the game world. They rely on the weight of mass numbers to aid them in battle. Allowing a single player to assail entire NPC cities at a whim.

    Corpse Subclass:

    Corpse=Zombie=Ghast=Gut Hoarder=Knitwork Golem=Bloated Horror

    Ghoul:

     If there is a such a thing as beauty in undeath, the ghoul has the closest shot at achieving it. Their form of taint is dependant on draining life from living beings. At first small infinitesimal lives of insects, worms, toads, spiders, rats. But as the ghoul advances the taint feeds its hunger for stronger life forces. The more they feast on the living the more lovely and agile they become. This gives vampirism the stigma of being undeath for the vainest of living mortals.

    Ghoul Subclasses:

    Ghoul=Fledgling=New Blood=Chyld=Vampire=Kindred=Ancient One

    Ghoul=Butcher=Face Taker=Flesh Stealer=Changeling=Doppelganger

    A game like this sounds interesting and would fun to progress.

    I know Albion online is coming out and that would be fun if there are a lot of different races in the game and classes.

    But I don't think that there will be a proper character evolution.

    Not enough fanfare, and even if there was, I doubt Blizzard or Daybreak are listening. They have their model archetypes for the next two decades...

    Screw us for being dreamer's born to be broke...

    Ideas do tend to show up in MMOs over time. But usually they are just stuck into the typical themepark structure and just become another skin to level grind.

    I did like your idea there. That's exactly the sort of thing I was getting at. If it were in a game similar to UO, a real Sandbox, with restricted open world PvP (restricted to humans vs. these, and other "racial" wars, and guild warfare, etc.) it could really kick arse.

    Maybe a community project like unreal tournament would be the way forward.

    There is the new game Shards that if it is very modifiable could be fit the bill.

    I believe Wildstar has a playable zombie race (Mordesh).
