Advertisement banner and ipad

The big advertisement banners on top of the site have been ruining my browsing experience for months now, they are shear impossible to click away, because th X is way to small on ipad, and browsing with those banners still in place ruins my browsing experience..

 

now, dont get me wrong, i dont mind advertising and even clicking on those from time to time to support a good website..  But these banners are killing my browsing experience on my favourite MMO forums so much, that i am finding myself vissiting other forums more and more..

 

could you please find another way of advertising...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    It's just as bad on Android devices, I end up clicking on that stupid ad all the time unless I expand my screen to make the x big enough to click.

    I don't mind advertising but those banners can sometimes obscure most of the screen on my phone.

    I posted about it weeks ago too - it is specially annoying because it reformats the vertical page too and can make you click the wrong thing easily. Now I tend to ignore this site from my iPad.

    I imagine it'll be better on their new site, which will probably be much more mobile friendly. (Or at least that's the impression I got when they talked about it)

    I doubt they'll do much to fix this one since it's on its way out.

    My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

    It's gotten so bad with other sites I've had to install browsers that block scripts to a large degree, on iPad and Android devices.

    I use Weblock - AdBlock for apps and websites . No problems at all on my ipad with this site open.

    On Android is not bad at all, you just pinch zoom the web page to make it huge and the X on the add gets really big as well. Really easy to click off.

    Still annoying, but yes, at least it works, on IPAD it still resizes to be small.

    Thanks for the feedback all.  This was something new we tried hoping we could make some kind of revenue off the mobile site - but to be honest it is not working very well.  You will likely see this ad go away soon.

    Thanks, i think we appreciate this, i hope your next idea works out better, as it is money that keeps running around this website
