New Forum Migration Begins TOMORROW!

Hey everyone,
It's been a long time coming, but it looks like this is finally happening. We'll be migrating over to our new forums beginning tomorrow. The current forums will be going into READ ONLY mode at 12AM EST tonight. We anticipate that the forums will be down for up to 24 hours.
I'll be checking in regularly to answer any questions.

This has been my favorite forum hangout for years, mostly for a handful of regulars who I have grown to admire and respect.
That's all? Where's the server list, the faq, what's with name collisions, will we carry over the items from the bank and... oh wait.
Seems I've red way too many consolidation / merge / transfer / migrate threads lately, my bad

great rather than working on content, you are wasting valuable resources to give the people who bitch the most an upgraded forum to do it on!
this is a sarcastic attempt along the lines of when games do something minor to upgrade the overall feel of a game

While, granted, I don't have a solution that is a shame.
Suppose someone just became interested in the genre, found this site and had specific questions?
Maybe there should be a "new account" forum for questions? Not sure.

I am both anticipating the change and a little sad to see this old site go. So goes progress.

Only takes a couple of points to bump you to a rank where you can create threads. We may remove this if all the other tools available end up being sufficient to curb spam. It's going to be fluid for the first few weeks while we figure it all out.
All users start at "Common" rank. Uncommon users and above can create threads.
Just to add: We're using an item rarity theme for ranks. You'll even get your name in the appropriate color (Uncommon = green, Rare = blue, and so on).
If they were smart they would have held a kickstarter and then sold early access packages and perhaps people's forum names back to them.

Site will remain the same (for now). Forums are changing though! The new forums are currently themed after the current site. We'll be re-theming the forums to go along with the new site once that is ready.
i really dislike the current site and forum design, simply because you use bright font on a dark background. honestly people, pls use dark font (letters) on white background on the new site and forums. im getting flashbacks to my university time, where people had powerpoint with black letters on deep blue background
i hope the new site and forums are brighter and easier to read.
New site has a dark and light theme. So you should be OK.
