The World of Warcraft community site has been updated with a quick look at several of the pets and mounts that will come with the Legion expansion. WoWHead managed to datamine the names of each, as well as new information about new additions to Hallow's End and Winter Veil.

    Ugly mounts. Okay looking pets. (at least the feral druid one). I also doubt Q1 2016. Most predictions are leading to Q2 2016 in/around June, which is just shy of Q3 by weeks.

    That's about my bet too. I think they're shooting to release closer to the movie. Additionally, and while I understand that they can't talk about everything, there seemed to be so many "we don't know" or "we're still talking about it" or "we haven't decided yet" type comments during every interview they gave. I just don't think it's quite as far along as people hope.

    My guess is that Q1 2016 will start the BETA, not see the game released.

    This won't be true. They have stated multiple times that they are going for faster expansions, and do not want to give us the 12 months like we had in SoO .. It will be Q1, most likely Dec/January.

    PS - All mammals have nipples.

    Get over it already.

    I would love it be year's end, but it won't happen. But seems likely to have it out by March 2016.

    Blizzard said they would be focusing on yearly expansion release starting with WoD. Along with that statement, the current state of game doesn't give them the luxury to release the game any later than november/december 2015. They might delay until January 2016 but i believe no later than that because then it will be too late, players have already run out of patience with WoW, if the expansion doesn't come sooner than next year, raiders will be leaving for Wildstar f2p, casuals will be leaving for eye popping Blade & Soul and/or few other incoming korean mmorpg. Any later than January will be the literal death of WoW.

    Yeah my thoughts exactly. The game will probably be released end February, beginning of March. I don't know if most people are aware of this, but last year Blizzard almost doubled the team that works on the expansions. My guess is that the game atm is fairly polished and it's probably even ready for beta testing, but they will start the beta around Blizzcon. Also due to games like Blade & Soul coming out at the end of the year I assume that Blizzard will be giving out beta invites more casually(aka a lot of invites). After that there will probably be 1-2 months of beta testing(December/January) and depending on the feedback they get whether people are happy or not they might release in February or delay it till March possibly even early April. But I'm confident that they won't dare to delay the release any time later. That would be suicide. I don't know about you guys, but all my guild mates and friends are at the 20 years + range and once summer hits most become almost inactive. There was already a talk about how most of the "core" WoW players are now at the 25-30 age since they have been playing the game for almost 11 years now. What's more there are plenty of great games that are now f2p or b2p and most of the younger generation would be probably playing them, so doing a summer release will probably be the worst possible thing to do.

    All of the "we dont know" or "havent decided yet" answers are because they need to save something for BlizzCon. Also, Blizzard has been saying non-stop that 1 year of SoO was a huge mistake and that they wont repeat that mistake alongside comments that they want to release expansions faster now, so Im not sure how anyone can interpret that to mean Legion will release around June or July, to release close to the movie, which would put the Hellfire raid at 1 year.

    "Closer to the movie" release can be as late as March 2016 and still be Q1 ;)

    Don't keep the hope up as people hoped WoD was the point on getting old school wow back even trying to rid of fly mounts. There will be a some point people will say that old school wow is back like WoD to sucker people back in:)
