Oh, so instead of heals, you have to GLIDE your way to victory instead? hahahahaha.
Hi! Since you seem to be new to raid mechanics, let me be the first to welcome you to this awesome content! I hope you will in time learn to identify basic raid mechanics and come to enjoy them!
Cheers!!
The design of the zone and the creatures seem neat. But I have a hard time picturing working raids with the GW2 combat system.
Perhaps if all the bosses were as interesting as something like Giganticus Lupicus (yes I know that people have killed him uber fast now, but at least he was challenging at first). Stationary boss doesn't seem encouraging though; unless that's just a phase.

Running around completing mini objectives while a stationary boss spews stuff at you isn't raiding.
Tank and spank stationary bosses isnt raiding either, your point? At least this is showing diverse mechanics from what everyone does.
New content is always welcome if its good, but if you are going to complain about raids at least try harder.

Games like wow have moved on from patchwork and maybe so should your opinion. Hellfire Citidel has plenty of movement and tanking challenges, at least more than GW2.
If it's about content then they shouldn't release a raiding trailer like its some big thing.
LOL, except the "legendary rewards" Aren;t legendary at all or in anyway beyond the title they assigned it. there is no progression of any sort in GW2 just the worlds longest grind for a weapon skin most of which are a big goof to boot. I really have no idea why people log in to play gw2 week after week there is literally zero character development of any sort and the content is pretty mindnumbing uber zerg.
It is too bad too because the while the combat is sort of meh and alot fo the abilties are meh the world and exploration of it are second to none. too bad actually palying your class is a snooze fest with ZERO rewards or progression....like they pretty much forgot the entire "rpg" part of the mmorpg.

no there definition is just different from yours. They see rpg as "role playing game" not "repetitive purple grinding". Role playing games are not about min maxing characters thats just what WoW taught people. In many rpg's you hit max level with the best gear very early but the game continues as you explore your own story and make your own choices about how to structure your character and build.
Anyone who says that all characters are built the same and its just a DPS zerg hasn't really played the game. True the major world bosses tend to be zergy but that is true of world bosses in every game. Content in any mmo can be zerged if they let you have unlimited people show up as they have to design it to work with fewer people and they can't expect coordination from 50 or 60 players on the screen. But group content in GW2 is very much role based and you can bet that running a raid is going to require lots of buff coordination and managing interrupts just like a raid in any other game would. I wouldn't be surprised if atleast one person is expected to be in a healing spec and dish out more heals than normal as well.
