game looking awesome but lets to be real; small independent devs team without experience , begging for money on KS for sure in good intention . Very easy at end it ll be failed project or some low quality game without support , or never ended game .
If ever they done this game with all promised features I ll spend money on this ! I hope it ll happen !
I did some digging on to this game befor posting, and i have Zero confidence in it.
First of all it's beeing Developed by Russian enthusiasts in there free time. They are Riping the whole concept of the World of Darkness MMOG that was canceled, while none of them have connection to CCP.
They have alredy done Kickstarter campaign in Russia. Collected a little more than 4000 $.
But the shady part is that while they are all Russian, they only have a English site - that's really weird.
Basicly sounds like a very shady project.
99.9% of all games are "ripping" some concept, usually without asking anyone, hardly a mortal sin. CCP never owned WoD setting, they took it from White Wolf Gaming. These guys use only same basic concept as WoD, which cant be copyrighted.
They have Russian site - http://projectdogmat.com/ru
This project is more amateurish than shady. 4k$ for 3d MMO? Wont be enough even for tech demo. And their Boomstarter text reeks of "I'm new and have no idea about what's going on"

Since CCP basicly owns white wolf gaming they very much own the WoD setting.

Here's my take so far. Over the years I have learned the value of being realistic about things. Not straight up negative, just real. And the reality is that while these guys could very well have hearts of gold, they have openly stated that not a single one of them have ANY real (seriously, random mobile games do not count at all in this context) game developing experience whatsoever..None.. Whether they end up finishing and releasing a game or not, I feel like most of us would be better off at least accepting the fact that this is likely not going to be some triple A title to come out of the woodwork.
It may be playable, it may even be somewhat enjoyable at times, but this is Not going to be "what World of Darkness could have been." Many of us remember he hopes we had for WoD. Say what you will about CCP (I am not their biggest fan atm, this I assure you) but even from just their tech demos, the look and polish that can only come from a triple A studio was evident. It got many of us excited up to the moment it was cancelled.
My point here is this: Obviously I wish these guys the best. I hope they are able to stumble their way through to a finished, playable, somewhat entertaining vampire themed indy game to satiate some of our thirst for something like this. There have been many indy companies that have completely fallen flat on their faces despite having MANY more things going for them than these guys appear to have which as of right no consists of: Small team, no money, no advertising, no credibility, and harshest of all, zero experience. In spite of all this I still wish them the best. Hopefully peoples interest in the subject matter will help to at LEAST get their kickstarter off the ground. But the most that I am truly hoping to see come from this project, is that CCP takes notice of just how much fans are wanting their quality, polished, triple A vampire MMO that they pull their heads out of their anal cavities and get back on to our REAL World of Darkness MMO that so many of us would all but meet the True Death for. Unlikely. But I hope so.
