World of Warcraft before pandas goats and werewolves was so much more mature, now it's a children's game. Even if the movie won't depict that period, it's still better to just leave it in the books and games. I hope it fails so Blizzard finally realize that not every garbage they pass out is going to work as they expect. If they ever make World of Warcraft 2, it better be more realistic, without stupid races and without gear that make you look like a retard, also they need to forget about tab targeting combat if they want anything to work.
I was recently looking at the main Battle.Net page and looking at their games - Diablo III, WoW, SC II, Hearthstone, HoTS, Overwatch. Considering that HS and HoTS are just recycled from previous games and only Overwatch is their only new game with original new world and characters, Blizzard have become really lazy over the past 7 years or so, after releasing WoTLK and then the canon story ends and they start releasing idiotic expansions that no one cares about. I only played HS for about 30 minutes to see if it's any good, and it's horrible to play a game based on Warcraft, where all you do is play cards. As for HoTS, I won't even bother, since I don't play mobas and a MOBA where there are space marines and wizards fighting side by side with shamans and demons... HAHAHAHA! That must be the most retarded idea ever.
So.... much..... hate. Did someone at Blizzard sleep with you and never call?
I'd suggest just staying away from Blizzard entirely. It sounds like Blizz makes you angry and we all know you'll never become a Jedi with that attitude!

I would suspect you are just fine with all the mediocre games and expansions they release and are like "O, a new game, now where's that debit card..."
Overwatch may be interesting, because it's something new, same for StarCraft II, although I'm not a fan of the franchise, but the rest are just sad - as I said, Hearthstone and HoTS are made from recycled characters and themes from other games. Just because it's made by Blizzard, doesn't it make it a quality product, do you even remember the days when Blizzard had made games like Blackthorne and Lost Vikings, or whatever it's name was? Before they were big and mighty, back then their games were great, like WarCraft 1, 2 and 3, Vanilla WoW, StarCraft 1. After WoW got them all the money they could possibly imagine they will ever earn, they started releasing mediocre and unimaginative products, if you think I hate Blizzard, you are wrong, I'm just angry with them being so high on fame and riches they forget where they come from.
For example, I'm a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, when I heard there will be a new MMORPG - SWTOR, I was really excited, when it went F2P, I was so happy to finally be able to try it, but it was just WoW in the Star Wars universe with improved graphics and instanced world.
Bottom line, you can't just pretend you don't see when something is bad, mediocre or unimaginative, just because a big company released it. If it's bad, it's bad, no matter how you look at it. Blizzard set a trend with WoW, since then so many MMOs have been released that try to copy the looks and feel of WoW, same with Microsoft and Windows having a flat design, now everyone is trying to follow the trend instead of making up something of their own. Your problem is that you apparently can't read between the lines and are like "Ooo, shiny!". Correct me if I'm wrong, although I doubt you would have anything meaningful to say, not that I'm underestimating you, I can already imagine what you say in response, so you might as well spare your hands from carpal tunnel syndrome.
First of all, I will never wish for Blizzard to produce more games like Blackthorne. Like ever!
Secondly, the fact that you can't see anything unique in SWTOR over WoW makes any other argument you might make completely irrelevant. This might be inflammatory but, whatever, I'll take a kick at the cat. The problem with "people like you" is that you are never happy, you don't see the subtle, yet significant changes and you fail to recognize the technical challenges that come along with innovating. Not to mention the risk.
It's people like you who say, "Why the fuck don't we have flying cars by now? I know we can do it!!! Also, it's complete bullshit that they don't work on rainbow power! It's not like I'm asking for teleportaters, but DAMN! I mean what's a Dodge Caravan? It's basically a Toyota Camry scaled to 1:1.4. Like hello!!! Innovation!!!!"
Story-wise i'm not expecting too much from WoW as a movie, but we'll see. I think the worst that could happen, is that some characters are looking odd when being next to eachother, due to how they're mixing it with CGI.
I'm behind Duncan Jones on this one; I think even if it's not a blockbuster, i feel it will be well directed. if it flops, it could end up being a cult film.
This is somewhat of a useless topic right now. One cannot even speculate on it, there has not been anythign released. It would all depend on the acting, the script and how it has been filmed. Right now, not much has been released about it.
One being, in the past when myself and many other where like, "wow, this would be a sick movie" when watching the release trailers and shit. We pictured the film in CGI, but due to it being live action, I feel it might not live up to what many people had envisioned the movie to be like.
Second I feel non-fans and people who don't know of WoW, will just think it's trying to be a copy of lord of the rings. Only say this because i know how fickle society can be.
To a void this they need everything to be on point, none of this Dragonball nonsense where they fucked the story and hollywooded it up. Good actors, good balance of story and action, make people want to know the characters, cry, seek vengance, you know what i mean lol.
It's just down to execution really and I hope this movie wasn't on a whim and did some serious research.
