    Congratulations on a well-crafted survey.  Usually I look at surveys like this, decide 80% of the questions are stupid (e.g., "please rate X on a scale of 1-10"), and decline to complete the survey.  But your questions made sense, so I filled it out.

    I question the list of genres - the terms used didn't seem completely parallel to each other, nor the list complete.  But otherwise it's a pretty good survey.  If I may ask, what institution is offering a game design class?
    I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

    Well thank you for the input :) It was planned by the class at Bunker Hill College in Boston. So in a short poll, we tried to capture some of the most important elements of a gamer's characteristics. Quizzical said:

    Thank you very much :) It was a class effort, we all made a list of 20 questions and colaborated to form a short but efficent poll. Plus surveymonkey trial accounts allow only 10 questions haha.

    There should have been more options for some questions like the question "do you prefer online or offline games" there should have been an option "both".

    The choice of genre .. you don't have ARPG, so i picked RPG. Since your list is NOT exhaustive, you may want to add an "other" and let people type that in.

    Second, the choice of platform is a single choice. Many play games on multiple platform. You may want to let people pick more than one.

    Yeah I suspect the RPG category will have a lot of responses from people that prefer RPG-variants to standard RPGs (including me).

    Also true, forgot that genre, I at one point thought to add JRPG, but then I was between the lines of disagreeing with it because it might be getting too complicated, or that a japanese rpg isn't even considered a different genre. Also that is very true as well, while some may have a 'favorite' others may genuinely not. Thank you.
