Don't normally like PvP but I've spent more time in GW2 PvP then any other MMO's I've played except maybe for SWG.

The only pvp I have ever enjoyed was Warhammer Online and eve-online. Warhammer is no longer and haven't played eve-online since 2008. Nothing out now that is worth the DL space to me.
I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.
if mmo, it is purely which combat system you like most i guess WoW has most likely the most fluid engine, but even the devs never claimed to balance pvp there. it's just... available :pleased:
GW2 had some probs with the display of characters in open world pvp, in instanced, you need a premade team or it will be the same hell as every other mmo
First there is a huge, huge difference in pvp between mmos that goes far beyond combat systems. To compare WoW's structured pvp (battlegrounds) to GW2 spvp is like comparing a stinking pile of shit (WoW's battlegrounds) to a mountain of gold (GW2 spvp). And that is before factoring in the combat systems.
GW2 open world pvp had culling issues around launch that have looong since been fixed- I am pretty sure that was fixed YEARS ago. In its spvp you can do fine without a premade group, because unlike some other games it actually has a matching system that tries to take into account if you are in a group and your relative "ranking" when it chooses who you play with/against.
It pisses me off that there is no other fantasy mmo with good pvp apart from GW2. I really try to find them, but every game other than GW2 turns out to be basically a pve-farm/grindfest. It just blows my mind that GW2 is the only mmo that has purely skill based pvp and every other game is about your level and gear.
For pure PvP, it definitely wouldn't be an MMO. I'd rather play any FPS over an MMO for pure, balanced PvP.
For PvP with consequence and something worth fighting over, nothing touched EQ1 on Rallos Zek. Next best was Darkfall but it lacked longevity, the "classes" sucked and basically anything outside of the aiming aspect of combat was poorly designed.
It totally bucks the trend of what PvP in a MMORPG can be.
It's like being thrust into a neural interface with The Book of Five Rings as the path to martial enlightenment. It's like a piece of your life outside reality with the Bardo Thodol as a spiritual guide. It's as if C.S. Lewis wrote a cyberpunk novel.

DAoC is still the best PvP I have played. They are the grandfather of meaningful PvP and no matter how many times people have tried, they have not come close to the magic DAoC had. If Mythic had made DAoC 2 over WAR or just kept updating the game engine and graphics, UI etc. DAoC would still be a top contender.
Best PVP MMO: Darkfall Online (RiP). How can i explain this: simply the best and most skilled free aim collision detection PVP mmorpg even with bugs. Melee, magic, archery... A game ahead of it's time. After DF1 some people cannot play any other pvp mmo cause everything will fall short. Best PVP game: probably CS 1.6 and CS:GO.

Warhammer Online first tier, levels 10 through 19. Most fun I ever had pvping. I would make alts, pvp until I hit level 20 then delete and start over.

Dragon's prophet sill the best pvp live action game . the end game cobat is untapped thanks to reviewers rage quitting at lvl 20 xD but if you need a reference you can check out my channel mikersgaming on youtube :proud:
I hope black dessert doesnt dissapoint how blade and soul did
Wot World of tank, good graphic, addictive gameplay, very nice statistic about our entire career.
You need to play this with your own team.
Have you tried War Thunder?
I haven't tried WoT. I have invested a lot of time in War Thunder (air). I'm not that interested in tanks, though it can be kind of fun.
Have you played World of Warplanes?
I find War Thunder to be superior to World of Tanks in most aspects. You can play ground or air in War Thunder and the options for controls are far greater. You can even use a tow hook and tow incapped friends or right them after a roll in ground mode.
MMORPG players are often like Hobbits: They don't like Adventures
OMG! The first Bushido Blade is definitely the most hardcore 1vs1 fighting game I have ever seen and played. I never actually played the second one. That game and Tenchu were my all time favorite PS1 games of all time. Man,... the memories

Rift was great for pvp but I haven't played it in almost 2 years now.
For RVR it is GW2 for their class balancing but huge negative for their horrible UI.
RVR king is ESO for their awesome combat and nicely done UI. Negative is there always seems to be an OP build. Not sure if they fixed the lag.
Solo pvp is ESO cuz you can gank all day if you know how.
MOBA style is Smite for its action based combat.
