Are you more hyped for Crowfall or Camelot Unchained?

I would have to say Camelot Unchained, from what i have seen of Crowfall already, it looks a bit naff, hopefully the avatars in CU will be more customisable than in Crowfall, which seems to have been lost in the 90's when it comes to character customisation, but, more than that, there is the hope that finally we can get a game where the idea of faction pride etc. in a PVP orientated game, is actually a thing, something not seen in an MMO since DAoC, despite some failed attempts.

Crowfall, tbh, zero interest in it, it may not be one, but it sure looks like a MOBA, and not an actual MMO, perhaps its because of limited player numbers or having to choose an archetype, either way, its not even remotely on my MMO radar.

    Camelot Unchained.

It's Camelot Unchained for me.  Crowfall is just too much of an unknown for me and 99% of MMOs are pretty much a disappointment.  At least the maker of CU made the 1% cut of successful pvp MMOs with DaoC.

    Camelot Unchained easy pick.

Crowfall, if they keep with the subscription model, and no cash shop.

Well the lead dev of Crowfall hasn't single handedly destroyed any of my favorite MMO's, so Crowfall

The above is my personal opinion. Anyone displaying a view contrary to my opinion is obviously WRONG and should STHU. (neener neener)

EA is making neither of these games.

By your logic: AO, SWG and SW:Tor ... all games that had smooth histories (lol) ... is connected to Crowfall Exec. Guess you won't be playing either of these games then.

While I'm an alpha level supporter of CU, not sure I really will play this MMO when it launches, because I really wanted DAOC 2 and have always known this won't be that game.

But I agreed with the concept, and wanted to see this sort of game be made, and who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and enjoy it.

    nah ..

    a) they look like they adhere to very old design, with less convenient features than newer games,
    b) they are not even out yet

I will give them 15 min each and judge them when they are available for free.

CU for me, Crowfall just doesn't seem to interest me at all.
  • TamanousTamanous Member RarePosts: 3,030
I backed CU but follow Crowfall's development too. The market benefits when any game becomes a success. We have enough stinkers already to hope for more. I moved past jumping on bandwagons when I reached adulthood. Many others should try it.

    You stay sassy!

That's stretching it a bit, don't you think?

MJ took a fun, successful PVP minded MMO and added a monotonous PVE grind to retain its playerbase, which backfired and alienated said playerbase reducing the game to a shell of its former glory.

Then he did the same exact thing with Warhammer 5 years later.

How anyone can still have any faith in that moron is beyond my perception.

As @Tamanous already explained, I guess you should inform yourself about these two, especially Warhammer, bit better.

CU all the way.  I do not care for cartoons in RL and even less in my online games.  So if CU can pull this off and have hundreds battle each other all at once in a more realistic world.  I am all in.

camelot unchained.  i'm not hyped for crowfall because it doesn't have the realm vs realm plans that CU has.  BUT, i will play crowfall while i wait for CU to come out, if its free.

IMPORTANT:  Please keep all replies to my posts about GAMING.  Please no negative or backhanded comments directed at me personally.  If you are going to post a reply that includes how you feel about me, please don't bother replying & just ignore my post instead.  I'm on this forum to talk about GAMING.  Thank you.

It's interesting times we (RvR/PvP) gamers live in right now. Lots of interesting (for us) MMORPGs in development.  Can't wait to see what happens. If we (devs) do our jobs well, good times ahead.

Neither tbh. Crowfall just doesn't look like an enjoyable game, and CU is a blight on the gaming genre. It would be a pretty short list if I added up all the things that I like about CU.   I doubt that I will be able to enjoy either title at all, and my money won't be leaving my wallet for these.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I'll give Crowfall a look as well though.

As far as I'm concerned, the only people who complain about CU and how it's going to be this "huge disaster" are most likely butthurt about it not having PvE.  How much you wanna bet these crybabies secretly play the game anyway when it launches?

not hyped but CU looks more interesting.

I backed both and I am excited for both.

But hyped - nope, hype is a recipe for disappointment.
Pretty sure hyped means to be excited about something, or to really look forward to something.

No need to be afraid of disappointment, these are only games after all, and for me at least plenty have lived up to or exceeded my expectations in the past. I am sure I will have some measure of fun in them even if they don't turn out to be absolutely amazing.

For me it's telegraphs that put me off Crowfall. Same reason I can't play Wildstar. I despise being treated like a 4 year old.
