If there is one thing you can count on in these forums, is for a forum poster to douse the enthusiasm you have for a game, to pour cold water directly on that hot fire. We might each love MMOs around here but be damned if we someone is enjoying a game we don't love! Take that!
Just another title that can't do enough to make me feel its worth my time, let alone any financial investment. I couldn't be bothered before, and it's looking like the trend is going to continue. What is happening with this genre? Why is there only one game worth playing?
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I'm looking forward to hopping back into SWTOR tomorrow. Hopefully this is the miracle patch I've been waiting for since the game launched(I already know it is as it's addressing 90% of the issues I had with the game). Good timing too since I just uninstalled Rift after hitting 60+ with the new calling(game sucks at high levels) and need an MMORPG to get back into.

I'm very much looking forward to the expansion myself! Especially all the story and companion content that's coming!
Oh wait, I think I was supposed to be snarky there. xD My bad!

I started playing this again. I didn't like it a year or more ago. It sure is alot different now. Also i find the non force classes so much more fun to play. Having fun with the Powertech and Vanguard i made. So much more fun than the force stuff in this game.
I'm definitely looking forward to it. My only gripe is that many of the changes, like, to crafting, are changes I'd have loved to have seen a year or so ago. Now I'm maxed on all the major professions and am pretty much set on gathering. And after X12, I've run the main game for every class to 50 at least once in the last 4 months, so the new levelling stuff won't have much mileage for me.
Still, it's a good problem to have, I suppose.
At least for new players, the experience should be much improved. No more having nodes be red even though you've picked up every node on your radar since the beginning... and being able to craft decent blue levelling gear right off the bat... pretty flooping cool.
For my part, I'm near to level 60 and partway through the Revan content with my main. I've stopped playing (but I'm still paying) until 4.0 drops, because I'm really excited for the changes.

Worth your time to post though hmm? Well I for one am glad the mmorpg genre isn't built for only you.

I agree with EvE, the way mmorpgs are now is for kids and those who want to invest alot in it. Its just not normal anymore. p2w p2convenience maybe the only mmo's that are with a kinda normal pay model is WoW and ffxiv.
Its soo sad atm that it force me to not play. But I enjoy games like witcher 3 now. Maybe in a few years they will change it for the better. Until then this veteran mmorpg will play SP games -_-

haha so true. Gave you an agree on that

The 4.0 change list is huuuuge, I hope nothing got messed up.
My top 3
Level scaling on all planets
Companions no longer need gear
Only one main stat, Mastery
Yup, level sync is great.
Crafting changes, also, crafting needed some rework for a long time.
They are actually going back to their initial ideas for the game before they started "you must be liek WoW or else" mantra they started in 2010/2011.
Can't wait to see how level sync works on the pvp servers. I always hated how other mmo's allow max levels to kill lowbies.
yeeah that kinda sucked. But I did it myself, but only if they were max 2 lvls below. It´s kinda mean jumping at someone who is 30 lvls below you. well that´s over now, nice

There is nothing in SWTOR that is p2w. Im not sure what your point is, I play WoW the exact same way I play SWTOR I pay a monthly fee. The only difference is in SWTOR i receive a monthly allowance that I can use to buy packs. Whats in those packs? Cosmetic items for my stronghold and toons...
Now there is nothing wrong with growing out of a hobby, I also enjoy the Witcher. Like I said before I think its great that the MMORGP genre have left players like you and eye behind.

Ok, so the term "p2w" doesn't compute... how about this statement "Most MMOs are now made for Whales", and they mostly are. A statement of fact proved by the F2P revenue systems and the Cash Shops. The term "p2w" is just another way to say someone is sick of MMOs being designed for Whales. SWTOR very much caters to Whales.
For those getting ready to play new KotFE... enjoy yourselves. Hope it's worth the wait.
