Ahoy, mateys! If ye be lookin' for a Team-Up hero to assist you in battle, look no further than Pirate Deadpool! Team-Ups are like mercenaries or followers from other ARPGs, and this scurvy scalawag can fight by your side using his
firearms and explosives. He can even hack into the server with Server Lag, his Signature skill which temporarily brings nearby foes to a standstill. Better yet, you don't need to spend Eternity Splinters or Gs to obtain this Team-Up, he is acquired through a secret achievement chain.
- It should take roughly an hour to complete the achievement chain. It does not have to be done all in one sitting
- You will need a hero that is around level 50 or higher
- The majority of this achievement chain involves fighting 'minion'-grade enemies, you may want to use someone that has achievements such as the many 'defeat x amount of elite enemies' or 'defeat x enemies with y attack' to get progress on those as you work on this chain
- A hero like Storm that can rapidly clear areas of enemies can help save some time, but is not required
- Most of the areas you have to go to will be 'grey' to a level 60, meaning you won't get Eternity Splinter drops. Remember, they are on an 8~ minute timer so you can take breaks to get your Splinter drop if desired
Step 1
To begin our treasure hunt, let us set sail for Chapter 3's Buccaneer Beach. Once at the beach, we need to
listen to the whispering winds. Type /listen and repeat it ten times. (You can press Enter and then Up Arrow key to resend the emote). The /listen emote does not work with every hero, but it does for sure work with Deadpool, switch to him if you have an issue.
You may see errors if you do it too fast, just keep using /listen until the Whispering Winds achievement unlocks.
Step 2
The Whispering Winds achievement tells us that we heard a rumor that HYDRA are in possession of a mysterious bottle that washed ashore.
We now need to go around Buccaneer Beach defeating HYDRA units and breaking whatever objects we come across until we locate this bottle. It is random when you get the
Message in a Bottle to pop up, open the chest once you do to see clues on where to go next.
- Captain America can defeat HYDRA agents with the Falcon Team-Up summoned for an achievement
- Winter Soldier has an achievement for defeating HYDRA agents while wearing his 'Bucky's WW2 Uniform' Unique
- Deadpool has an achievement to search for Bob by defeating HYDRA agents
Step 3
Our first clue is
DARKNESS and it is Hand Ninja that we need to hunt. You could go to Industry City Patrol or Chapter 3's Bamboo Forest, Hidden Cove, or Hand Tower. If you choose Hand Tower, you will have to reset the instance between runs by switching heroes.
This, and the rest of the steps, is like the HYDRA step and it will be random when you get it.
- Black Widow and Wolverine have achievements that require defeating Hand Ninja
- Psylocke and Daredevil have achievements to defeat Elektra in every zone, you could do Hand Tower runs with them. Black Widow also needs an Elektra defeat for one of hers
- Daredevil has an achievement to defeat Hand Ninja in the Hand Tower with his 'Shadowy Mask of the Hand' unique
- There is an achievement to defeat 1,000 Hand Ninjas while wearing the 'Hand Ninja Tabi' unique
Step 4
Back to the bottle, the second clue is
UNDERTOW, which means The Hood's henchmen in Chapter 2's Cargo Freighter. You can either do this in Story mode or in The Hood's Hideout terminal. If you choose to do it in Story mode, remember you will need to switch heroes to reset it each run.
- Story mode's The Hood rewards skill points the first time you defeat him. If you have heroes that still need to do that quest, do a run with them to get two birds with one stone
- The Thing has an achievement for defeating Gang Members using Ground Smash, you can do that here
- Running The Hood's Hideout terminal on Cosmic difficulty lets you work on the
achievements for opening the bounty chest (defeat 125 enemies to spawn the chest) as you will be full clearing the place anyway
Step 5
The third clue is
BOREAL so we are headed for Chapter 9's Norway areas. The enemies in these areas are around level 51, so be wary. Ancient Ruins area has the better drop rate of the two choices.
- If you haven't got the Chapter 9 skill points, explore the Ancient Ruins waypoint area and after the cutscene travel to the Frozen Palace. Talk to Heimdall when you load in. (You can then continue through to open up the Odin's Palace hub, or just bodyslide out)
- Black Widow has an achievement to defeat enemies in Norway while wearing her 'Gloves of the Siberian Winter' unique
- Loki has an achievement to defeat Frost Giant enemies
Step 6
Our fourth clue is
METEOR and we must head to the Vibranium Mines One-Shot, which is found under the Terminal waypoints. This may be a rough experience if you are lower level or a not-very-geared level 60.
- Black Panther has achievements to defeat enemies, to defeat Man-Ape, and to complete a Solo run of this One-Shot
- Storm has an achievement to defeat enemies in this One-Shot
- Human Torch has an achievement to defeat the Vibranium Mines' Pyro five times using Burning Volley. He also has one to defeat any Pyro twenty times with a Spider-Ham pet out
- Venom has an achievement to defeat the Spider Slayer robots with his Web powers
Step 7
Our final clue is VOLCANO, so we're heading to Chapter 7's Savage Lands. You can go to Dinosaur Jungle, Infected Jungle, or Mutate Marsh.
- Infected Jungle has Brood for Storm, Kitty Pryde, or Captain Marvel achievements
- Punisher can be used here to work on his dinosaur defeats
- Mutate Marsh offers Sabretooth defeats for Wolverine, Deadpool, Gambit, and Psylocke
Once you get the final fragment to drop, the
treasure is yours and Pirate Deadpool joins you and lets you have the "pirate-y credits" he buried, which amount to over a million! (Open the chest with Luke Cage or in a Cosmic Terminal with Star-Lord to knock out their achievements)
Warning: Both the Team-Up token and the credits drop on the ground!
Be ready to pick them up when you open their achievement chest!
Hooray!

Cool!
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
