Thieves Guild in Mortal Online

TehmudjinTehmudjin Member UncommonPosts: 11
Greetings!

My name is Tehmudjin and I am a +4 year veteran player of Mortal Online. I am starting up a new guild that will focus on stealing, pickpocketing, assasinations, guerilla-PvP and covert stealth-operations in enemy territory. Our goal will be to fill our pockets with the wealth of other guilds and gain political power through fear.
Our long term end goal will be to overthrow the Tindremic Empire that rules most of Myrland and replace it with our own Shadow Empire. Long live Emperor Tehmudjin!

For this I am looking for brand new players that are into this playstyle.

What will be required of you:
1: The use of TeamSpeak and a microphone
2: Dedication and loyalty to your guild
3: Ambition to conquer the world town by town
4: Humor (the roleplay part isnt serious, its for laughs)

What will be offered to you:
1: Expert advice and startup help from one of the most well known players in the game (That would be me).
2: The chance to build your reputation as the stealthiest thief or deadliest assassin of the realm.
3: All the pockets you can pick, all the throats you can slit and all the gold you can spend.

If you think you have what it takes to be part of the elite thieves of the Shadow Empire, send me your application telling me why you are worthy to join our ranks.

Long live the Shadow Empire!

So you are opening another MO guild that is just like the rest.
Are you onto something or just on something?

Isn't this every guild in MO?

If you are going to do all what you say you have to understand you can not do this with the f2p game option. Any pickpocket stuff for thieving etc is behind the purchase/sub part of the game. The skill book you can not get as a f2p player. You can not get to that skill level in the books, if they changed that over tha last few years great, but I doubt this very much.

"Our goal will be to fill our pockets with the wealth of other guilds and gain political power through fear."

Why not just get a few GM's in your guild and let them fill your pockets with wealth?  Isnt that how this game really works?

I'm questioning the "Bramd New Player" aspect. How will you get brand new players to play like those who already have the experience? Brand New players will take time, and lots of it to be proficient enough to make it by, much less try to conquer those who have been playing awhile.
I don't see you getting wealthy nor ruling anytime soon with "Brand New Players".

    Just a thought. :)

We do not plan to enter a PvP arena tournament on our first day. You obviously arent familiar with me and how the Quadra Khans started out. We waged wars against big alliances of guilds, destroying assets worth thousands of gold while earning almost as much. This was accomplished with a guild of 4 people with very little PvP experience at the time.

This snowballed into the Hodorian Alliance that dominated Gual Kor to the point where we were so rich we got bored of the game and disbanded.

Now Im going back to my roots and starting over. Ive done it once, I can do it again.

@OP I have been interested in MO for awhile now. It sounds like an interesting sandbox game (I like player politics/warfare being a part of a  game. Do you guys take in newbies? If so this guild sounds like it would be a good fit for me (as long as it is active). Where can I send in an application?

This actually seems like a really good excuse to return.  TS, dedication, loyalty and humor I can do, but I've seen the Quads and I know for certain that my PVP prowess even at it's best isn't Quad quality (can't PVP orth a damn and I refuse to fight with flagpoles). How much of a problem would that be?

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

This is a brand new guild and my goal is to build it out of completely new players. Old players have relations to other guilds and refuse to attack their former guildmates and so on. I need fresh blood.

Just send a PM to me here on the forums and Ill send you teamspeak information.

The question is: What CAN you do? You can learn PvP to a decent level very fast. There are also lots of different character builds you can try to compensate for your weaknesses.

Mortal is very free and open so if youre smart you will win battles without classical 1vs1 PvP skill.

Then I'll try my hand at learning decent PVP. Most of my combat has been the GY or TindremA-style town assassinations.

What guild(s) were you in last time you played? How long did you play?

Mortal Empire and  then whatever other thing TheTrueZazka came up with that landed us with a cool town in a nice location... that no one ever went to.   My main character was SuzyQ. Mostly hung out in Tindrem and Meduli. Played for about a year or so.
