When will Flying be introduced in Legions. I have a few friends that have said they will not play the new expansion until some clear plan for introducing flying in announced.

Cannot understand for the life of me how no flying is such a deal breaker for people. It's such a small part of the overall game, and not necessary to have fun. Apparently it's the only fun the game has for some people, though.

Flying is planned but it won't be available at launch.
And the worry many have is that it won't be available at launch and - if it is to be gained by a deed - they will have to go back and "redo" stuff - hence the question.
Given what they said during MoP - yes, no, yes, no, coming, delayed, slipped etc. the question is perfectly reasonable; especially now that the team has a hard release date to meet - so if they are struggling to meet it slipping flying until months after the release date could happen.

I'm not going into details here, already done that, but for a lot of us the reasons are many as for why this is a deal breaker.
I'll give you one here: they want to to pay real money for flyers, and then they won't allow you to use them in the new areas (as in WoD for several months). Tha's borderline scam, imo.
I won't be buying Legion, at least not at launch, because it all sounds like another WoD garbage expansion to me. But if I was on the fence about it, flying vs no-flying would certainly be something that could tip the scale.
I'm still wondering how dual wielding will work. I don't recall them ever fully answering that. i.e. Will enhancement shamans be using 2 doom hammers, or a doom hammer and another weapon? Will the artifact weapon act as both? So confused.
Hey I would be OK with requiring a first ground-pounding run to max level to make the artists happy. Yes we think your art design is lovely. Then give us a path to flying. It was around 9-10 months to get flying in WOD. No thanks if that is the plan for Legions.
I did like how they made it to be able to fly in Draenor. Too bad it took them so long to figure it out. Anyway, no real solutions mentioned for content drought other than releasing the expansion faster lol....Good interview Bill.
Seriously? People are complaining about not being able to fly in a new zone? Prime example of what is wrong with MMO's today. The playerbase.
People want cars with wheels on as well; sheesh drivers today.
Games need customers. Don't give the customers what they want: no game.
Players
- might accept no flying at launch; they might accept having to unlock flying via some sort of meta quest; and maybe not available until max level - OK only a few days or a week at most after launch.
- what they absolutely, I suggest, don't want to do is "go back" and re-run stuff several months after launch. And that is what is being offered: flying in some later patch. The idea of waiting to get Legion only when the flying patch is introduced seems to have some traction on the forums.
I only care about flying after I've done all of the quests I want to do. I like the ground exploration. Too many folks are too interested in quickly getting to max level instead of soaking everything in.

Lol, WHAT kind of comparison is that?
Either way they go, people will cry about it. Yet they will still buy and play the game.
