Who do you think will win this war and why? These games look very similar and personally I believe Elite is on top by a long haul because they actually have a working game already.
Are you onto something or just on something?

They do not look similar in any way.

On top of that: One game is Live and the other game is years from release and only playable in a few sections.

One game is over hyped and is rare for a game to live up to such hype.  The other game is out and people know exactly what they have.

SC because marketing of ED is non-existent :/

Elite Dangerous is already out, so it wins on release.  Both games are different though in their goals.

    Win what war?

If we're talking sales, isn't SC winning right now?

    Sc is to overhyped imo.
Im not saying its going to be a bad game but for the people that have to money to buy the ships that u can earn in game is a little to much

I voted SC but it depends what is in game and available when it does go live really.

Right now ED which I also backed and do enjoy is kind of shallow and there is really only 3 things you can do fight trade or mine if you want anymore than that your going to be nickle and dimed with expansion seasonal updates.

They have taken a different approach on how to release the game and I think SC approach will be better in the long run, also I think the fact the will be a single player type game, SQ42, will put it ahead of ED when it comes out.

I'm am curious to see how things work out for both games.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

SC will never be released with the features promised.  By the time they actually release a somewhat complete game ED will have much more content.

I voted SC for the simple fact that it has double the number of customers that ED has and it hasn't even been released yet. Additionally, when a game releases out of a KS, it generally sees an increase in sales. That number varies wildly, but some of the more popular, niche, games have seen the number of boxes sold increase 10x over their crowdfunding campaign sales (ED included). If SC were to even double their customer base following a release, it'd be 4 times the sales of ED.

Also, SC will have a campaign to play through as well.

Yet look at how long Eve has been in development.  They failed to connect their FPS module which no one really knows exists.  They plan to release another FPS module and the VR module but dunno if they will link it properly or do what SWTOR did and fail at it.

for single player X3:TC/AP are a lot better and have a lot more content....
for multiplayer obviously ED  can't judge a game that hasn't been released yet....
ED is a lot of fun if you have friends that roleplay with you IMHO... if SC will be anything close to what was promised it will be better but i can't tell the future
