Their combat is just the same old, light armor heavy armor ideas are really old and no depth at all.

You need specific resistances and elemental properties just to begin to have some depth in combat.

Also specific item characteristics is again nothing new, every game has been doing that for over 20 years.Just to begin depth you need various speeds on which weapons can be used, various abilities like a Polearm would give a nice AOE a Dagger perhaps bleed effects/aoe swords for multiple hits, clubs for stunning etc etc.

Also on that specific idea each weapon would have specific o/p weapon skills that should have long timers. On that same note ,what i would like to see are players performing combos to earn points towards that powerful ability and not just simple press a hotbar icon and combo,i like to see some depth in how combos work and not just solo either.

Developers have got a LONG way to go before they appease me with their shallow combat designs.

Also it seems that camera is locked like a moba? That would be the first thing i fix, locked cameras are a no no for me.These overhead views like in mOBA's are just really bad and not enjoyable to watch,i prefer to get down lower to see the real graphics, not faded graphics from far above.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Actually, the graphics would probably look worse up close as the game is designed for an isometric view. I really hope you don't think MOBAs invented that view. You might want to check out Ultima Online, any Diablo game etc. it's the style they are going for. Has a classic feel.

Classic feel huh, let me tell you it is NO fun when you can't look around to see what is ahead or behind.  This game is basically DOA.  The few that do play it won't stay long.  This is a good example of how not to design a indie game.

They should not aim for multiple platforms. Currently PC version suffers heavy from tablet support / features...pretty bad design decision if you ask me. could be a good PC game, but with this issues it doesnt excel at any platform

Boy , everyone makes this game sound horrible, I sort of liked the concept and was able to look past the classic view, the views here are not encouraging though.

I learned a long time ago that you can't listen to anything you read in the comments. Either people blindly hype a game or they blindly hate a game. Look for constructive critisicm not destructive.

This. In order to get a feel for the game, try it for yourself come release. If you were to judge a game based on comments made on this website you wouldn't be playing any form of MMORPG. Just browsing through some of the comments above, it's quite clear they really have no idea how the game functions or experienced it first-hand, imagine my surprise.

I hate to be the guy that does this, but it looks like Wow from a bad camera angle.

Yes, please continue to speak for the masses of people awaiting this game for the exact reason you don't want to see it.  While you're at it tell me more about all the upcoming games that are DOA for whatever reasons you see fit.

Bzzzt, sorry to break your bubble, I have played it.  I initially invested in the game thinking it might be what I was looking for.  Might be a decent game someday, but at present it has a LONG way to go.  The big problem as I see it, they don't understand how pvp in a game like this works.  After doing 6 years in felucca the top down design needs to be something that was used in the past, not current games, especially in a pvp game.

Are you serious there? You invested in the game thinking top down is wrong ?

Do you mean this type of game specifically or overall? MOBAs seem to have no issue.

I've been backing this game for what feels like a year. Has it been a year! My main suggestions in the surveys and forums for the game has been to make the combat more MOBA-like (cones, columns, and targeted attacks. As of the last playtest, it still felt like a click-fest while in combat. Revising the equipment and weapons is a good step, but the essential combat feel is what was lacking for me. I'm looking forward to hop in and see if that feel has improved. From the video, it doesn't look like it. Time will tell...now back to Fallout 4.

This game is a super relaxed alternative MMO. Despite what eeveryone is saying on here about it, it at least trys to go against the grain in alot of ways, and what it executes it does a good job of doing. Theres no way this game is going to be a breakout success, but as someone who back it, and has played in every beta, its a great way to kill time, and the PvP has actually led to some fun epic moments for the scale this game provides and platforms. TLDR: Albion is deece game and still better than 90% of MMO's out, give it a break.

the games good the controls are clunky sometimes its hard to do fine clicking and selecting. also with the inability to look around!! storage chests and npcs can become unusable until the crowds have cleared.. combat is basic trinity but divers with the fact that what you wear is what you are.. ultimately their are 3 classes tank dmg and healer you can miss match weapons and armours to create hybrid classes but ultimately they are the same as all other games.. its simple trinity. you just get to choose your skill lay out as apposed to having a specific set of skills for your class.. for example.. you can be a heavy armoured healer!! but your healing wont be that good.. or you can be a dps healer and again your healing wont be that good.. neither will your dps..see my point.. so you are actually forced into trinity if you want to specialize. sure your caster can choose between dmg and heal.. you can also CC but it doesnt seem to have much use at the minute.. i have to say i do like the idea of the heavy tank disrupter build with the big hammer. but like all other games its just trinity tanks tank and disrupt.. its really nothing new. but it is classic and it does have a retro feel about it making it a great game.. the crafting is also pretty good.. its very generic but its broken down really well so you cant just be a master of everything that will take time. the guild system is rubbish to the point its not worth being a guild leader ! you have no options or control over your guild no ability to customize much of anything or settings for your members.. or the ranks and titles are generic meaning you can not really promote people into positions of responsibility where they have the keys to your treasures as they could just nip off with it or even worse disband your guild. you get zero options for micro management of roles and privileges. as far as im concerned a guild is basically a permanent group! and not a guild.. they join and they don't have to leave the party when they log off.. that's pretty much it.

I tried out Albion for the summer alpha and ended up addictively playing it for the entire month. Simply an awesome isometric risk vs reward PvP game. If that appeals to you at all, then you will be in for a lot of fun.

This is 2015, almost 2016. Point click is atrocious. Not even sure how in the hell you can pitch that idea anymore to roll out a game. Oregon Trail has more intuitive controls.

Så håber jeg du er medlem af en stor guild, ellers bliver det svært for dig at få de T5+ resourcer - desværre er det lavet sådan :(

I didn't realize this game was designed like this, I just passed it off. I'm a big fan of Isometric RPG's. This design choice works very well in online open worlds RPGs too, it looks like a game I'd pick up and try. Now if you can pick and drop items into the world from your pack or a chest that would be a bonus too.

It will be a gankers paradise, there is no justice system in this game yet so be a ganker is the most fun you can have in this game.
