I can't play FPS, or any game that requires some degree of precision control, with a game pad anymore. M&K has spoiled me.
My guess is also that you don't cheat, and that cheating has no appeal to you.
Some wont make the connection and will accuse me of implying that console players are prone to wanting to cheat if they could (and I'm not ). I'm just not in the mood to explain.

I find that most fps games are dead on PC. There are simply not enough people playing. Also playing on console gives you a much more cinematic experience as you can be gaming on a 50 inch TV as opposed to a small monitor screen.
Also playing on a console is probably more difficult but everyone is on equal footing. So loss of precision is not that big a deal as you are all using controllers.
But I agree I prefer fps on PC as I generally suck hard at fps games and playing on PC is much easier. Other games which also require precision and control like racing games are virtually unplayable with keyboard and mouse.
@OP I believe this is due to the fact that ps4 is much more popular than the Xbox due to the whole specs argument. PC as usual is pretty much a dead platform for the major fps games.

It is not available on our(PC players) platform of choice. Most of us have an extensive library of games in one place. And have been totally burned every time we buy elsewhere. That said you know where it needs to be sold in order to fix up the numbers.

PC is actually the cheaters heaven. I dont play shooters on PC for that reason. Cheaters, hackers, and aimbotters all over the place.
As for Battlefront, PS4 has more players than XBO since they launched so its not surprising, and Origin is not as popular as Steam on PC so that is also not surprising. If Battlefront was released on Steam, PC would have more people playing it. I personally wont touch that game on any platform with a ten feet pole, for my own reasons. I dont buy EA games(non mmo) if they are online only, much less with a season pass that costs almost as much as the game and if i dont buy it i feel im playing an unfinished game. No TY, EA.
Throwing darts in the dark here but maybe cause Battlefront sucks? Dunno, besides PC has too many good shooters as is with more diverse/balanced modes. Battlefront wasn't well thought out imo. No space battles for crying out loud, plus you can buy the best gun in the game with real money lol.
And lol an fps on a paddle>? What fun I could have!
that is a personal preference. Mouse gives you fun in an fps, gamepad gives me fun in an fps. Im not a major league gaming player to be the best with a mouse and earn a lot of money for winning so i personally dont give a crap about that But thats show it should be, each person playing the way they have the most fun. Its video games we are talking about after all.
Something to bear in mind is that Battlefront is a disappointment for many PC players who were expecting something better as Battlefront II was a long time favourite.
Plus, not sure how the console beta went but the open beta they had on PC was rubbish and would have put many people off buying the game at all.

you can hook up the TV to your PS but not to your PC why?
is there a technical reason or just making stuff up?
If I hooked my PC to my TV, then my pc would be relegated to sit by my TV like a console? There's no way I am going to constantly move a PC too much hassle.
Also the fact is FPS games are more popular on consoles to a point where PC FPS games have very low populations. Also if I am playing with a controller against people with mouse and keyboard, that's not fair.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
