Trion Worlds and Bluehole Ginno's Action MMORPG Devilian launches today, just mere months after its reveal at E3 2015. Our own Bill Murphy has been playing in the head start and kicks off his review in progress to mark the occasion.

ugh, I wanna go home and play now.
PS - All mammals have nipples.
Get over it already.
My only complaint is small variety of classes , that are also gender locked (and one is cute child)
But I guess that is what can be expected with Asian games
Was tempted to try it, I just can't trust Trion anymore.
*pokes* That's what my mom used to call "cutting off your nose to spite your face". :D Give it a go! You might be pleasantly surprised!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wrote 15 pages to my bank last time to get my money back after the bait and switch with ArcheAge. Maybe you should write and warn people about these things too as journalists!
Fool me once, you don't fool me twice.
I have not seen any footage of this game but already know this site will score it a 7 (+ or - .8 of a point).
Pretty much the same trend i have seen, seems EVERY game is pretty darn good, hardly shows unbiased reviews. My prediction 8/10 sigh.
Some can claim the game gets hard,it still wouldn't matter to me because it matters how the game is presented. It is mindless aoe spam type combat,it is a Diablo clone weather people want to admit it or not.It is EASY for any developer to just turn up the numbers and make a fight hard,a GOOD developer or a good game will make combat tougher via mechanics and thought and abilities, decisions.
I am not into 360 spinning aoe attacks,to me it looks very silly.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I thought the same thing about the game being " easy " until I the level 25/30 dungeon ... I got my face smashed in multiple times haha. Also, the dungeons we're doing are on Easy / Normal .. I'm excited to see hell. As well as the 20 man raids, and the like extreme dungeons.
ugh, I wanna go home and play now.
Wait til you get to upper floors of Abyssal Tower - brutal.
But the 20 man raids are insanely hard, even geard to the teeth guild in TeamSpeak wipe frequently.
That has me overly excited. Why won't this work day end.

I dont see how its worth keeping this game alive if the original devs have closed doors, so who will provide them with updates?
Ehm Bluehole is very much alive, the only thing that happend is a publisher switching their priorities so Bluehole cancelled their contract witht them.
Bluehole works on this game and TERA.
As for this game I have found it pretty fun. The people complaining about leveling need to get a grip imo. It is some of the quickest leveling I have seen. I played for 2 days and am level 52. Ran the abyssal tower, some dungeons, and some quests and bam I was there before I knew it. I don't know what the end-game entails but it seems like there is a fair amount to do, so we will see. Also any other ARPG game out there is "too easy" as far as mob killing and leveling goes until there is some way to increase the difficulty. I have played older ARPGS's as well as D3 and POE and they are all what I would consider easy, but actually take longer to level in.
And Trion is a paid advertiser here.
So, for the people of this site to offer posts praising this "nothing special" title to the skies, gamers should know that they are paid out of advertising money, in part, paid by Trion, to offer such opinions.
And then let "average gamers" buy or not.
But they should know when they are hearing a "paid opinion" or not.

@ Burntvet how people spend their money is none of Trion's business. They put a product out there and if people spend money great, if they don't great. Obviously they want you to, but no one is forcing it.
But it is not Trion shilling this game here, it is the people running this site. This site had several articles here pushing founders' packs for $150 on Trion's behalf, who then turned around and opened up early access a short time later for far less.

So essentially mmorpg.com is a promoter and community hub for mmorpgs... and you are accusing them of promoting an mmorpg! The plot thickens!
