This game is so much fun, i love that the character creator has so many options! my old mirror tactical could use an upgrade! The story arcs are so well done, and there is so much content, i am sure i have much more to do.

I'm a big Star Trek fan, and this game gives me the honest feeling of really being in the middle of a Star Trek war. I really love the ship combat, as there aren't many MMOs that give you a constant sense of motion in addition to fighting.

I like STO because it is the last refuge for new material from the prime universe.
  • magnamaduinmagnamaduin Member CommonPosts: 1
STO lets me play the way I want to play it: Following the story, finding new ships and making them go pew-pew.

Grew up on Star Trek TNG. This is probably the closest I'll get to space barbie.

It's a breath of fresh air in a world of comercial games... imo worth a play

Its a pretty interesting game, plenty of story line and I love the customization with ships and crew members, really gives it an individual touch. Also love the ship combat especially.

Great space combat, a lot of customization options, constantly expanding universe and story, and it's F2P.
What's not to like? Yes, it's a bit grindy, but a lot less than any other MMO i have played.
Most important thing is, even after playing it for a few years, it's still fun. Even if you are not a Star Trek fan, this is a game you should definitely give a try

I paid for a lifetime sub as soon as it was available.
    That says it all.

Live this game! Play a Rom/Fed and have played the game since launch off an on and regularly since the Undine showed up. One of the best games out there and the best for Star Trek lore!

Because Star Trek is love, Star Trek is life. =3

I love (most) Sci-Fi stuff and since no TV series/moviews were produced for the "old" (pre- J. J. Abrams) Star Trek universe for many, many years, it is my way to continue experiencing the old good days

I am actually a trekkie ,i grew up racing home from school to make sure i caught every episode.
My fave shows as a kid were Star Trek and Lost in Space lol.

So i was sort of excited to enter a Star Trek game, wow was i disappointed and right away, took no time at all to have me disgusted.
They use one model for every choice, that is a huge no in my books, pure cheap 101.Then the graphics were  super low end.Eventually i fight on and come to an elevator....instanced  lmao ,could this game come off any cheaper?Combat was as boring as SWTOR ,i was like no way i could go any further and deleted the game.

I found it to be so bad that i have not had even an inkling urge to go back and try it again. What makes it worse is they would have actually had some incentive to put some money and effort into the game on launch but since they have little money now, there is no way the game is ever getting triple A effort.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

the constant reminders of the universe it's set in, minus the scale, I wish there were a VR version of STO, at least object's sense of scale would be more obvious to more players

Star trek online is the only game with that 'Trek' feeling, especially the space combat. Love it.

I've really enjoyed the community in Star Trek Online. I've met plenty of helpful people and have fun playing PVE content with friends. The mission content that Cryptic Studios has put together has been fantastic and I love all the Star Trek actors that have reprised their roles in the game! As a Star Trek fan, they have stayed true to the Star Trek that I love from the TV shows and movies. They've been able to take open ended plot lines from the various shows and weave together a very compelling storyline. With Season 11, New Dawn, the return to exploration is very exciting and I can't wait to see future missions. Also, a huge shout out to the folks at Cryptic Studios for really communicating and engaging with the player base. Not to mention that Cryptic and PWE have also been quite generous with giveaways like this one. Big thanks to Cryptic, PWE, and MMORPG for hosting this giveaway and good luck to everyone who entered!

Action, intrigue, exploration, cooperation -- these were always at the heart of Star Trek, from 1966 right up until today. Star Trek Online pays homage to all of these, and I love that.

I enjoy being a captain enjoying the star trek story, piloting my own starship and managing my crew. Also admiralty is fun!

I'd love one of these, I need it for my new Federation Tac Captain! Such a fun game! I remember watching Deep Space Nine and thinking this ship would be the type of ship I would want to fly if I ever ended up there. Don't see it happening in real life, but maybe here I will!
