As we all prepare to take the weekend off (don't worry, we have loads of features prepped through Friday), it's time for a little exercise in wishful thinking. If you could have any one thing in the MMO world, from a new game to an old game, or anything in between, what would it be?
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.

Otherwise, give me Vanguard back.

So, mmorpg christmas wish... nothing, I'm fine (or just lucky ). Maybe more time. But I'm perfectly fine with the games I'm playing, and there's not a single one on the 2016-2017 list that peaks my interest (maybe SotA, but even that is more like curiousity than anticipation)
I somewhat agree with Sovrath and Paragonian above, getting back a cancelled game would be a nice wish - but then I'd have even less time for the rest of the games of mine each
Your wish in the column... dunno. It would take way too much time from life itself also I like the privacy, like to have countless alts, like to hop around games - none of those is possible with Oasis (and the same applies to SAO, great story but I'd rather not live and play it). Plus, I don't like VR, if it's a simulation I'd prefer a Holodeck-kinda solution (Trekkie here ), where I'm aware of the surroundings and not just laying on the bed with a VR goggle, or wearing a full haptic outfit like Wade.
As to what I want, other than a Ready Player One movie to not suck, for the #$%^^#$ advertisers to stop calling MOBAs RPGs.
Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...
Nice picture of the stacks. I've heard they are making a movie out of that book, hope it doesn't suck.

Steven Spielberg is gonna be directing Ready Player One, awesome book
There are 2 aspects incrdibly important in my opinion
1:) Socialising, MMORPG's lately dont even bother enhancing the teamwork and fun being with others except the aspect of the raid/instances which is pretty formal and has come to a point that it is like our daily job.The leveling experience needs to get harder so people will group up a lot more
2:) Individuality. Make people feel different, thatrs actually 1 of the definition of playing an RPG wether mmo or not, played Skyforge yesterday and even though game was ''cute'' with nice enviroment and Ui i quicly noticed there was no variation in armor and weapons.ANd people are saying why WoW is stil the ebst , when from levels to 1-60 u had different armor/weapon variations(thousands) asu leveld up, it was rewarding and satisfactory
And I wouldn't say awesome, don't get me wrong, it's a cool book, but only because the setting (online game plus all the pages are stuffed with references for the golden ages) is like a geek's wet dream - it was a good read, I've played through Zork again after reading the Jade key issue...
But, if you look beyond that, it's just one of your average book from the late hip YA trend, saving the already wrecked world from the corrupt evil conglomerate, just like those hungry divergents who're running through the maze under the twilight
I want an MMORPG that immerses me like the good ol' days where I'm nigh addicted. I'm either getting too old for this genre or the genre is severely lacking lately.
