Has anyone here played this one? Looks pretty promising, but LOOKING promising via UE4 isn't hard.

    No it looks bad.
The choice of having to wear a space suit while the entire environment looks like earth and live vegetation leads the question,WHY are we wearing a space suit,it looks way out of place.

The basic setting to me looks like a cheaper version of a cross between Defiance and PS2 and nobody cares about those games.

To further look out of place, wearing a space suit gives an indication of futuristic and the mobs lend that idea as well, then why are we shooting ancient pew pew weapons like a shotgun or handgun or sniper rifle?

The positive, yes there actually is a positive, the skill system is really good and i like it.However the game just looks oddly displaced and too much perhaps like PS2 with the base modules looking oddly out of place and like modules more than a realistic setting.

I am sure being in it's early development stages they can improve the overall setting, improve the visuals a bit but a lot of the game seems to need a complete 360.

I won't support anything Russian.  Having said that, at least they aren't using the HeroEngine.

I know FO4 got away with a ridiculous space suit setting pretending to be an APOC game, but in this game it needs to go orr else create such an environment that fits it and the game. This should have been more a moonbase or even similar to Shards online, even still i mentioned it a couple weeks ago,pew pew weapons are sooooo boring now a days and why i could never get into CSgo.

So i honestly don't even know what direction this game needs to go,to me lose most of the weapons and create some more interesting cool combo effect weaponry. But then you have this sort of Defiance/PS2 base it again looks like it belongs on a moon base more than a typical earth setting.

the game is just going in two different directions with it's immersion and game play.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Maybe the levels of Carbon Dioxide and atmospheric nitrogen are such that it would be very uncomfortable for humans? Maybe there's too much oxygen for humans?

Maybe the suit provides an optimum mixture of gases so that the person can operate with maximum efficiency or maybe it filters out poisons that the indigenous flora or fauna might emit?

I bought into the early access via silver pack a few weeks ago, game atm obviously has a large amount of bugs...but it runs very smooth for its current state. The combat is free aim...and not like repop or fantast title like ESO where there is a large amount of forgiveness...no in this game you actually have to aim which is a big thing for pvp gamers imo (like myself) The world I have seen so far is very nice, not ground breaking but in comparision to other MMOFPS games this one is leagues ahead.

The dev's even with the language barrier are active on their forums, giving updates, communicating with players etc, they are honest about what is going on, things that need to be fixed etc.

At the moment like most EA games...the content is not there yet for anyone to really judge this game...as they add that in and based on their vision I am sure this game is the darkhorse of sandbox MMO's atm.

I think the biggest issue atm is that the voice over's (most of them are in Russian) however they are progressively moving to English..and the chat options are in English.

I will probably create a video in the next few days for anyone that is interested in playing.

There are 150 million Russians living world wide - many game companies in US have Russian devs working for them.

So are you going to not support western MMOS?
I won't support a company that is headquartered and/or has their main operations out of Russia.

So, no, that doesn't apply to Russians working outside Russia.

Well that is an extremely un-educated comment, ever been to Russia? really not much different aside from US/Canada aside from their politics. But I guess if you are shallow enough to make a redneck comment like you did, nothing I say will educate you and change you're opinion, I am betting you only drive a NA brand of car as well...even though the parts are made in asia :).

I suppose you're right...other than the fact the U.S. doesn't invade its neighbors (Georgia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Crimea, Eastern Ukraine), actually has freedom of speech/expression and those who speak out against the government don't 'mysteriously' die of radiation poisoning, they are practically the same place!

And, no, my car isn't made in Russia.  Not sure what a car or its parts being made in Eastern Asia has to do with boycotting Russian companies.  Not related at all to what I said.

Well, individuals collectively boycotting are the only way to change the direction of Russia other than all out warfare. Economics are peaceful and extremely effective.

Wooah there, pardner! Better watch the tone. Saying stuff like that is a good way to summon the PC police.

Doesn't look too good to me, personally. Melee combat looks so weightless, looks like you just approach something and hold attack down or spam attack ala skyrim. Kinda reminds me of tabula rasa, too. Shooters and mmo's just don't mix well most of the time and I don't think we'll be quite there for a while yet to have a smooth, satisfying fps/tps with hundreds of people on screen.

Planetside is the closest I think anyone has ever gotten to a good mmo fps.

why cant we have games where your characters melee swing or bullet shot is actually has an effect of physics of a reaction to be getting shot by said bullet or hit by said sword.?

Russia has shown to be self-sustainable over history, you can isolate them economically and they'll keep moving on. Their supply of natural resources is near endless compared to their population.

    Good luck with that.
Yea, good thing their economy isn't a one trick pony dependent on fossil fuels like oil with oil never dropping in price or anything.  Good thing their economy hasn't shrunk 5% in the last year, without 16% inflation, nor falling currency values. Good thing they didn't start a new and expensive war in the quagmire known as the Middle East because that would be the last thing you would do if any of the above economic data were remotely happening.

You're right.  Place is booming! Because none of those things mentioned above are happening.

Every country has dark pages in its history, might want to ask Native Americans about invasion, or African Americans about their freedom and history of US.

Painting Russia as being worse... heh
Neat...the actions of a country 150 years ago should equal out the actions of a present day country.  Or something.
