Alright. You guys caught me. All hail zenimax. I was botting at craglorn that day, then i think after 2-3 hours i bought some 3 million gold from a buyer then i had a buyers remorse and i sold the gold for a huge amount of dollars to some random guy. I think i sold 2 m gold. Then i had like 1m gold left on my id. And while i was at it i think used swear words on a couple of people in my guild. Mostly racist comments. So obviously zenimax isnt really at fault here. Stupid me. Lets close this thread. I didnt know what i did violated the TOS till now. Like you people state , i am really ignorant. Time to move on to the next. Lemme turn on the bots for Gw2. Hoping i wont get banned :D

I figured as much since you created this account on the 29th and every comment or discussion has been for the sole purpose of bashing ESO.  Had you been a member here prior, it might have made more sense.

The mods don't like it when you point out how old an account is but yeah technically it's one of those cases of:
Hello there, I created this account on this forum just now to tell you the amazing story of how I was banned on a game for no reason at all.

Absent any shenanigans involving dodgy game keys from shady cutrate online sources, my best guess is that you farmed a great many rare items and sold them on the AH. perhaps you aggresively undercut the competition, or made a deal with another player to sell in bulk at a discounted price.

Whatever the details are, you possibly ended up unknowingly trading with a goldseller or buyer, and ZOS considered those transactions to be "unusual". It may have looked like the buyer was feeding you gold that had been paid for outside the game.

If the transactions and scenario fits the profile, you are in all likelihood SOL.

As long as there are dozens of players that will flagrantly ignore the TOS, vigorous policing will continue. A few innocent bystanders are bound to be hit in the process. Again, my sympathies if you are one of them.

Thats is so obvious, captain obvious. I cant post about what i feel without making an id now can i? My god. My sole reason being wanting to post about this where people play mmorpg. Obviously i felt upset about what i experienced in the game and i wanted to state it here. Nothing else. You guys talk as if tarnishing Zenimax's name is my sole purpose in life.

@SpottyGekko I did undercut a few people but not by a huge margin. I usually sell at what master-merchant addon suggests me to. If only i got the details from ZoZ as to what triggered the redflags. Thats all am asking from them, just not to keep people in the dark and ban them outright with no warning. If i knew i did something that could warrant that kind of ban then i wouldn't even start this here. Thats what some of these guys dont even understand. Why would i even start this thread had i done something that i know would violate the TOS. I mean what is my gain? I dont understand.

There not going to give you a reason. No company will as they don't want to tip botters/gold sellers/cheaters to what flagged them. Requests like yours have been posted for years. I've seen them since I started playing these games in 2004: "why was I banned".

    They just won't.

As it has been suggested, it's probably because of your key. Call them, tell them that you think this is the reason and if so offer to pay full price for the game. See if that works. If not, lesson learned, if the price seems too good to be true, it might just be "too good to be true".

No game company with any sense will EVER tell you in detail how they decided you were involved in some illegal RMT activity.

That's because it's common practice for "professional" goldsellers to protest their bans at length. The more they can find out about how they were caught, the better they can refine their techniques to avoid being caught in the future.

A lengthy dispute process also ties up Customer Service resources, reducing their capacity to police the live servers. Reducing the capacity of CS to look for RMT activity means the goldseller's other 1000 bot accounts can operate for a few days longer before having to be replaced...

    yet another classic mmorpg.com thread.

The problem is every single person who was doing illegal activities are also emailing zos trying to tell that they are innocent.  So Zos has to filter through all those emails trying to figure out if they did oops and ban the wrong players by accident.  The process of stopping gold sellers isn't easy.  You have to be smarter then they are and they do this for a living.  They have several accounts to move the money around trying to make it very difficult to track.  You probably came in contact with their money somehow.  They move items by selling cheap stuff for high prices.  Who is gonna buy a stack of iron for 100k?  Well the gold seller will do that so they can move the money then try to say it was an accidental purchase.  They also try to make it harder to detect by sending random players money as well.  You could have been one of those random players they gave 50k to without even noticing it considering you had 1 million.  One of their biggest scams is to make you sign up before you buy their gold.  Then the unwary purchaser uses their game account password and that gives them access to steal the gold back.  Zos prevents this by doing location login recognitions.  So now you see its not simply black and white issue here.  Like I said before and a few others have said.  The insane amount of gold you made in 1 month automatically flagged their system.  So naturally they looked and saw a gold seller connected with you somehow.
Are you onto something or just on something?

I know right? he thinks he's the victim in this.  The real victim is the corporation Zenimax.  and also us and mmorpg.com for having to hear his story.
A victim would imply malice... do you really think there was malice here on either side? A company is really going out of it's way to inconvenience it's players in such a way? It sucks to be banned I"m sure, but your responses are getting quite absurd. Right along with folks who imply idiocy on the part of the OP...
You are free to assume whatever you want to. You are not the one who got banned so you wouldn't know other than to assume. If you think i did violate the TOS then so be it, i dont have to prove my innocence to you or anyone here. I made this thread to make people aware as to how little detail they give regarding a ban and how they leave people in the dark. Its me who lost my time. And i do get it, i should have bought it straight from their official site but i have researched quite a bit after my ban and i have found that people who get banned due to invalid cdkeys get a detailed mail stating the reason. All am asking is why am being kept in the dark
This is the mail they send to people whose cdkey gets compromised.

Well good luck OP, hope you get things straightened out.

As you can see these forums aren't a great place to look for understanding, and if the story sounds at all sketchy people will leap on it.
