    The beta right now is single player, it's supposed to have some sort of multiplayer added eventually.

    I like it. I can tell because when i login hours go by. It reminds me of open world exploring like in Morrowind. And it really seems like a huge game world already. Yeah i find it fun taking on a mob only to find out it may be to tough and you have to run. The game is really based on skills as they have ranks to them also. Pretty cool game considering its only in alpha stage.

    That's what I was thinking as well. It's not "quite" Morrowind but when I found a cave to explore it reminded me of Morrowind (which I still play).

    This game would have been great if it was 2002-2005.

    Except that this game couldn't have been done by 2 people back in 02-05 because they had to start writing the code in the late 90s. And at that time a game with this kind of graphics and general systems would have needed more people.

    Sure it's easy to say but back then you didn't have tools like Unity or at least not like it is today. So imho this game is a good example of how far we have come that these 2 people can create that kind of game. Even if they buy some art or stuff from outside sources this system itself is amazing compared to what we had at around 2000. Go to store, click, buy, done.

    On a personal note, I played the game for a few days now and I really enjoy it. I stick to the quests most of the time but thats just because there are only 2 of 9 zones available and each quest is kind of an achievement for a session.
    The combat and skill system work great and I really like the mobs using skills that I could get on a char too. Melees using a whirlwind kind of attack or mages sending Imps my way which are the same skills the classes use.
    Sure there are some things that make the game more complicated than necessary (can't switch weapon in combat with right click, only drag drop to inventory) but alpha and a bug report might get it fixed. About bugs and fixes, I saw a posting about a quest being broken for some people and 1-2 days later they released a patch with some other minor stuff so I guess that works well.

    If you are looking for a free game to kill some time I suggest you try it. It's a nice game to waste some time on and the good thing is that over time you will always find more stuff to do i.e. when they open a new zone or add a class if you reach the current end.

    Pretty impressive so far for a 2man team.

    Oh it's this game,i already forgot it.
    Kudos to them for doing all this with 2 people.I would have never guessed this is a jrpg?
    I can tell you this,they really like the color Orange lol.
    The other impressive thing is they managed all those language options.
    Definitely needs to be a mmo/online because playing this by yourself is not good enough.
    They did get itemization good because i had a real amazing o/p bow right early where as most games don't want to give players anything.

    Having to discover the mobs strength /abilities is a plus and the way all games should be done.
    Needed fixes aggro is generic and player needs more animation vertices and i would change all the orange color lmao.

    I guess so i don't sound like a hypocrite,i should pay respect to this team for doing a lot of things the way i like to see them done,i really do get frustrated seeing the same dumb ideas done over and over and here yet this team is trying to do it properly.
    no levels =+++
    no blocked paths=+++
    itemization is solid=++

    Only thing i still like to see is no markers over npc heads,anyone knows me ,i hate that,i don't want any hand holding or fake looking ideas in my game.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    I first thought Ninelives was an MMO, and as such sort of dismissed it due to its solo friendly nature. After learning its meant to be more of a solo or coop RPG, I enjoyed it much more.

    There is a certain quality about the game that creates a sense of wonder and mystery. Its something that has gone by the wayside in the linear games across almost every genre. For lack of a better description, it feels "old school."

    I really look forward to being able to play the multiplayer mode. They have a long way to go with adding the rest of the classes and world, but what they have so far is amazing. I only hope they have the foresight to make the game harder for coop and create classes that are meant to be played together rather than simply all out dps.

    Hasn't this game been in development for like 10 years?

    I respect that two people are doing it, but you do have to push a product out in a timely manner. *shrugs*

    Very impressive work for 2 people. Focusing on single player and creating a great experience instead of doing for the holy grail of game design: MMO is a smart decision.

    I hope that this will get a lot of support so they can eventually afford the resources needed to bring it to full MMORPG.
