Personally i just wish games were laid on a realistic fashion, why are mobs just littered everywhere for no reason? Why are they even there don't they eat or survive, example where ar the ECO systems in these rpg's ?
If only dev's would go back to trying to build virtual worlds rather than theme park, shared -singleplayer experiences. Unfortunately it's hard to develop an eco system, or any realistic systems, when the games have become so phased and instanced there's not an actual persistent game world anymore. Most games now monsters spawn/despawn depending on if players are around and they can't even move more that 5 or 10 steps from their spawn point without teleporting back, or going invulnerable and unattackable while they run back it's a sad time for the genre.
funcom getting on the survival game bandwagon. Maybe since they have more experience than most of the other indie companies doing survival games this one will turn out really good. I actually hope they do well on it, I will def check it out since it sounds interesting.
If they start you off as just a regular person that needs to make choices and find things to learn 'classes,' I could see this being huge. Actually going out and searching for trainers to learn attack moves or finding items of sacrificial rites to learn new powers/spells. Perhaps a trip to an expansive graveyard to harvest bones to build your skeletal aberration to accompany you.
Please, please please have a 3rd person mode. A single player, 3rd person, survival game sounds wonderful! Color me very interested.
But if you only have 1st person mode, then I'm out. I get motion sickness and I can't play 1st person games. So please, please please have a 3rd person camera.
I'll play it because I'm a fan of REH, but I'm also not happy that these funds aren't going to improve and advertise the already existing Conan title on the market.

There is 3rd person camera. Quote: As chatty as they are about many of Conan Exiles' features, Bylos and Poe shy a bit when it comes to describing the actual hacking and slashing. They tell me it's meant to be played in first person (although a third-person view exists) and that it's "fast-paced" and seasoned with "heads flying, limbs flying" and "instantaneous feedback."

Well, let's be honest, AoC is pretty old now and it is hard to get new players etc. Fresh start is easier, I keep my fingers crossed for Funcom. I believe that they can make it right this time.
I got absolutely nothing out of that video,it was too short and didn't show anything.
I tried twice in the last few months to go back to aoc but i couldn't get past the starter isle both times.I guess i could try and figure out my old account and see if i enjoy it from there but i doubt it because almost always i enjoy a fresh start over continuation.Last i remember i think i was in some dungeon but dungeons are laid out so badly you need a a group of even 3 players because mobs are just spammed all over the place no room to breathe....
Too short yes, intriguing, definitely. And, yes. AoC is not WoW. It's a little more difficult. Still, by far one of the best MMO's (IMO) made.

The only male power trip going on is the one where someone thinks a PvP server has any more merit then a PvE server.
And vice versa
Crowfall - LiF: MMO - Darkfall: New Dawn
Multiplayer eh? Not interested, i play only mmorpgs, and i'm sick of these private small maps with 64 players.
Most modern mmo's can barely support that many people in an area. :D. Hence the phasing, instancing, and overall disconnect of the communities.

AOC was not a bad game . Funcom screwed up in the 1st 2 years but they kept on investing in the game.
Although underated TSW is also good
I am hyped for this one already
-Et tu, Funcom?

From the official site ...............
Play alone in single-player mode, or forge alliances and make enemies online on both public and private servers.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
Then again, it's Funcom so I have absolutely no faith in whatever game this will end up being
I have found in my lifetime, that the beauty of hating stupid people is, that it crosses all racial boundaries.
